Hi y'all!! It's been a long time and I wanted to give an update! ❤️
I miss baking so much. 😔
I am so blessed and honored that so many folks still message me and post to me asking me to bake kolaches again! It warms my heart. ❤️ I want to get at it again so badly and bring you all the kolaches you know and love!
I shut things down due to Covid, and leaving my ex, recovering from trauma, becoming a single mom... unfortunately my little business wasn't enough to get myself by, so I had to drop everything for full time conventional work (which now is a lame office job). Lol.
I wanted to come back in 2021, but my living situation, work schedule, childcare issues, my personal health issues, and many other factors prevented it. I had to sell off a lot of my equipment to get by at one point too...
Nowadays, I can't even find the time or energy to bake even for my family... 😢
My kiddos have grown so much! They are 5, 8, and 9 now! I am now engaged to a man that is all I could dream up and then some, who also loves my kiddos as his own, and I/we are finally renting a house! I could've never gotten this far without my friends' support.
Once my income isn't as vital, that is when I will be able to invest in starting up business again. 😄 My fiance is super supportive and even wants to learn and help me bake!! I know it'll happen in time.
We all dealt with Covid and the effects of the government regulations along with that, the freeze, and now a recession... How is everyone holding up?? I hope you are all doing well!
My hope is to eventually, someday, open things back up and bake again and come back full-force- with either a physical location, or selling kolaches in someones shop. Likely with some re-branding as well!! I'm always brainstorming ideas. Lots of things have to fall into place for me to get there, but it is a goal and gamble for the future!
I HONESTLY hope that in 2023 I can get some baking started again with some well-planned PTO. Likely a seasonal event or sporatic event sort of thing. This will require a lot of planning (And if I finally find a new, better job, it may hold things up because I can't go taking PTO willy-nilly with a new job. Lol) but I hope to get it done! I have a very good, supportive friend with a commercial kitchen for some solid weekend mass-production. 😉

Hey y’all!
I wanted to finally make the formal announcement, I’m sure many of y’all guessed, but I won’t be baking for the foreseeable future. 😔
I recently ended things between my husband and I, leaving nearly 9 years of abuse (I wont dive into that), and I’m adjusting to life as a single mom. Baking just isn’t feasible right now. 💔
My kids and I are happily staying with friends while I get on my feet! 💕

Hey everyone! I want to bake for you all again so bad! Some of you may recall in my last post, we’ve had a rough time of it during this pandemic, and not even for pandemic related reasons. Lol! 😅
Lately, I have been focusing on my health and finding a new balance.
Some of y’all saw that I recently had a large kidney stone, and upon visit to the ER, I was told I had a congenital kidney disease, but when I saw the specialist, that was actually proven to be a misdiagnosis!! (Thank God!) 😊 My urologist says my kidneys are just so full of stones that they kind of resemble that disease though. 😐 Oof!! I’m not wuite out of the water yet. So I’ll be doing some tests and such over the next month to determine what is REALLY going on! Then go from there.
He said there are no other stones around my ureter though, and the ones remaining are tiny! I shouldn’t expect more issues anytime soon!! 😊

This was my first time passing stones and it was a doozy, on the larger side. I was not a fan, and honestly would rather give birth! Who can relate? 😅

I am going to start taking spaced out orders soon!!
Not too many at once for now, since I have no idea when stones may start to pass. 😓

I have a lot of house cleaning catch-up to do first now that school work is wrapping up!

My kids have lice so I’ll be suspending baking this week. The shampoo I’m using on them is supposed to kill everything in one go, but I’m giving it a week and cleaning the whole place. NO idea how they got it! We’ve been in isolation for weeks on end! Crazy! And such a hassle.
I’ll update on taking orders again soon! ❤️

If I temporarily offered a take-and-bake kit, who would be interested? 🤔

I’m entertaining the concept since having all 3 kids home 24/7, homeschooling, keeping them entertained constantly, keeing them quiet as their dad is working from home, keeping up with my usual tasks, baking, etc, is a little hard to balance right now. Despite the monotony and lack of outside activity, it’s still mentally exhausting. Who can relate?? Anyone?? Where my mommas at?? 😂❤️

I’m thinking of freezing dough balls, measuring out filling and crumble into containers, and supplying directions from that point forward. Flat rate (to be decided later), 2 fillings, 4 options (maybe more). They would have to be immediately taken home and thawed/risen/baked, or immediately frozen again (no more than 3 days). All you would need is baking sheets, parchment paper, plastic wrap, and a pastry brush for buttering the baked pastry.
Only challenge would be that, doing this for 10+ years, I eyeball everything, and would have to figure the measurements and times out! LOL.

Back on track! I’m well stocked and back in business! ❤️
Thank you everyone who made an Easter order! I’m glad I can help make Easter special for a few of you during these strange times! 😊
I’m going to be taking a limited number of orders weekly and have a limited menu to make things easier while this virus stuff is still going on. Some of y’all are amazed I pull off my baking from my tiny apartment kitchen- well now I’ve got all 3 kids home 24/7, homeschooling, and hubby is working from home! 😂😂😂 But I’m here! Put me to work!!
My home is clean, we’ve remained in quarantine (aside from trips to the store I take solo, taking safety precautions).

For now: I’ll be offering kolaches by the dozen only (remember they freeze and reheat well!), fillings offered right now are cream cheese, apple, apricot, strawberry, lemon, cherry, and strawberry or cherry with cream cheese or lemon! ❤️ Others are possible based on availability, but I’m trying to stock on these few and limit trips to the store. But always feel free to ask! Pricing remains the same, $25 for a dozen of 1 filling, $30 for 2-3 fillings. Discuss for more potential options! 😊
Payment methods include Venmo, Cash App, and FB Pay for convenience, and I’m offering free delivery right now, or contactless pickup via a table I’ll set by my door!
