This is a long overdue post and one that has taken time for me to come to terms with..

I want to THANK each and every person or organization who have supported what I have loved to do and that’s creating sweets to make people smile and make their special occasion complete…

I have loved every single moment of my baking journey…

The injury to my hand has been more than just torn ligaments, but also arthritis..

So after mourning my loss of what I can no longer do I am now starting a new chapter in my life, which at this moment is uncertain but full of hope!

I am leaving behind what I thought would be how I would get to spend the rest of my life.

Thank you again for adding joy to my life in doing what I love..

Appreciate and be thankful for those who are still in your lives…

Today there will be someone missing at the gathering.

Today there will be an empty seat at the table.

Today there will be someone that won’t walk through that door.

Today there will be someone trying their best to make a recipe that will never taste the same because the person they used to make it with isn’t here.

Today there will be memories shared from holidays of the past, because some won’t be there to make new memories.

Today there will be laughs and tears served up with a side of mashed potatoes and gravy.

Today there will be “I wish they were here” and “today is hard without you here” spoken out loud and thought in silence.

Today there will be someone that you can’t call and ask if they are coming over.

Today there will be a lot of broken hearts and people sitting at your table who are hurting and missing someone.

Today there will be a lot of I love you’s.

Today there will be a lot of pictures being taken.

Today there will be someone’s name spoken out loud that has been in Heaven for years.

Because today there will be a lot of people balancing grief with a thankful heart, a lot of people who know that sadly there might be a lot more empty seats next year.
