Larry...
Lar...
The Legend...
Lar-bear...
Those are the names he hears when he strolls through the back door of our bakery.
Larrry has been walking through those doors for about 9 years.
He has a wealth of stories, and has done about everything.
I would lay money that at one time his bite was, indeed, equal to, or greater than, his bark...
... but that is not the case now...
... no matter what he tries to tell us.
Lar is as tough as nails, and his history backs that up.
I think I've shared this story, but it's too good not to repeat.
"The Legend" had an emergency surgery, and his wife, Kimmy, was on the phone with me.
She was scared.
I told her, "He's the Legend! He will be fine."
Just then, there was a commotion coming from the recovery room.
Lar-bear had just awakened after surgery and had a ... disagreement... with how things were being done, and was fighting them...
... he was over 70 years old.
That story sums up Larry in a nutshell.
Over the years, I've bent his ear more times than I can remember, to get his advice.
He's really good at that.
What is the point of this story?
Lar is having something done today, and I'd really like if everyone said a prayer, or sent a positive thought and kind word.
Because even though we call him Larry, Lar, The Legend, and Lar-bear...
... we mostly call him our friend...
... and we all love him.
Larry will kill me when he finds out I wrote this, but he'll be too sore to beat me for at least a month...
... I'll let you know then if his bark or bite is stronger...
... pray for me, too
