Wedding days are truly magical- Each time I step into a venue, I’m greeted not just by the beautiful decorations and my amazing couples, but by the familiar faces of my vendor friends, who we call “friendors” It’s like a family reunion, where everyone shares the same passion for creating unforgettable moments.

The long workdays can be challenging, filled with stress and tight timelines, but seeing my talented colleagues makes it all worthwhile. We share laughter, support each other through the hectic moments, and celebrate the joy of love together.

It’s incredible to witness how each vendor brings their unique touch to the day- planners keeping the family on deadlines, photographers making magic happen, and bartenders you share your m&ms with when you don’t share- (you know who you are! 😆) Together, we create a seamless experience for couples, turning their dreams into reality.

Being part of this community is not just about the work; it’s about the friendships formed, the memories made, and the shared love for love itself. Happy Wedding Kaleigh and Nathan!

Buttercream vs Fondant-
What’s the difference and how does it affect your cake?

At 7LC, we pride ourselves on our skills and making the best products we can for our customers. We get a lot of questions and sometimes confusion about the differences between fondant and buttercream. So, here’s a quick breakdown:

Fondant:
-Texture & finish: Fondant provides a smooth, polished finish that can be shaped into intricate designs and decorations. It’s perfect for detailed work with very little bleed over into other parts of the product.
-Taste: While beautiful, fondant can sometimes be denser and sweeter than traditional frosting.

Buttercream Work:
-Texture & finish: Our primary medium, buttercream, offers a rich, creamy texture that’s loved for its delicious flavor. It may not have the same sleek finish as fondant, but it’s all about that taste!
-Versatility in design: We can still create stunning designs with buttercream, and small details in fondant for that extra flair.

What This Means for Your Cake:
While we may incorporate fondant for small details, our cakes are primarily buttercream-based. This can lead to a final product that may differ slightly from your original inspiration. Rest assured, we always communicate any changes with you throughout the design process!

🔍 Important Note:
Refunds will not be issued simply because the final product appears different due to the medium used. Our goal is to ensure you’re delighted with your cake, and we’re here to make that happen through open communication.

🗒️ Moving forward, we will be having all customers with custom orders large and small sign a release upon receipt. This way there can be no confusion as to how the product was received directly after our team finished the product. This release will include instructions as to how to care for your items after leaving our bakery and prior to your event.

Buckle up friends- it’s going to be a long one!

WE’RE BRINGIN’ IT HOME AGAIN BESTIES!! 🦩🏆

Our favorite night of the year certainly did not disappoint! A beautiful summer night spent on the beaches of Lake Erie to benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Toledo was the perfect end of a very busy summer season! I am so incredibly passionate about this night- weeks planning, dreaming, and a whole lot of teamwork, mean that ONE HUNDRED PERCENT of last night’s proceeds go directly to our community, and that’s something to be proud of!

Oh, and we won Best Booth Presentation…again 🥹 Being presented with such an honorable award means that our long nights, nonstop hustle, and months of planning truly do deserve a highlight in our story. I, of course, could not do it without my team, family and friends! So many helpers who make my job so much easier, and fun! I cannot thank them enough!

Save the date for next year- August 14th, 2027, and let’s do it again friends!

It’s officially Barefoot at the Beach weekend! 🌴🦩☀️

This weekend means so much to us, and we genuinely look forward to serving our community! Giving back to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Toledo is a huge part of story, and warms our heart in ways we cannot express.

It also means we are very busy! Prep work takes weeks, and days before it means all hands on deck. Cranking out thousands of desserts means every team member is in for long hours, and late nights! As we move closer to Saturday, we will not be available on social media or emails as much. In fact, I doubt I will open my laptop the next 48 hours. I want my team to enjoy this weekend as much as possible, so will politely ask for patience as we serve you, our friends, and celebrate our hard work as a team. Phone calls are the best way to communicate with us through this Saturday.

Wish us luck, and thank you for allowing us to do what we do best- create memories! See you at the beach!
