It has been far too long since I have been able to post due to life being insane since Christmas!!! But I am taking a few minutes to post Kenzie's 7th birthday owl cake, Raggedy Anne & Andy themed cupcakes for a client, "BAIT" cups for my son's birthday party (Hershey's chocolate pudding, crushed double stuffed, double sided Oreo's, & gummy worms) & my almost finished fishing-themed cake for Nathan's 5th birthday on Sunday :)
PS-I didn't put the fishing pole in his hand b'c it isn't hard enough yet to stand alone but this is 1 of my best/favorite themed cakes to date!

Not a baked good but definitely worth sharing!
Tonight I made a delicious gluten free supper that was beyond easy! I used organic, hormone free chicken breasts which I trimmed into nuggets, whipped up 2 eggs, milk & a touch of white vinegar in 1 bowl & crushed/food processed bar-b-q potato chips mixed with garlic powder in another bowl. A few quick dips in the egg mixture & potato chip mix, a few minutes in the deep fryer (using peanut oil) & they were a HUGE hit!!!

Very interesting indeed! I do not use liquid food coloring in my baked goods since I do know they container high quantities of allergy inducing & harmful dyes (like red #40 & yellow #5 & #6, etc.), but I do use Wilton gel colors for my fondants & colored icings, so I have contacted Wilton to ask for an ingredient list since none is specified online or on containers. We met wonderful fellow celiacs & tried some very yummy gluten free foods & baked goods on Sunday Gluten Free Expo in State College, Pa. I think product recognition is important & Nathan is realizing being gluten free is easy, delicious & accessible these days, unlike how it was for me growing up. Our favorites were the white bread & baguettes 's Bakery & Tonya's pretzels. Thank you Wegmans for doing such a great job!

How VERY unfortunate... I received an email from FB a few months back saying my prior Kenzie's Kravings & sweet treats account had been "hacked"! I have been unable to access the account or my page, post pictures, or admin the account. I finally was able to create a new page tonight along with a new FB email address; yippee! I will be posting pictures of past creations but again, unfortunately, I no longer have many of the pictures I have posted over the last few years due to loss of that account, iphone updates & new phones as well as my iMac did not survive the move from Maine to Pennsylvania...so please stick with me over the next few months.
