🚨TRANSPARENCY POST🚨

You guys know I try my very best to be as transparent with you as possible on all fronts. So this is something I haven’t addressed but for my own sanity and to hopefully help out other small business owners I need too.

When you inquire about cookies (or anything a small business has) and give me the date you’d like cookies for and I send over pricing and you give me all the details of the order you’d like to place that DOES NOT confirm the order on my calendar.
I will always message and ask for your information so that an invoice can be created and a deposit be paid.
I will not hound you or constantly pressure you for this information. If it’s not something you give me but read my messages. Or a deposit isn’t made and you’ve opened the email and reminder emails I will assume that you no longer need the order.
(Yes I can see when you open an invoice because the invoice system I use does tell me.)

As small business owners we aren’t just that. We are people just like you who have families, friends, other jobs, hobbies that help our mental health.

I personally for my own mental health and the sake of time with my family can’t take the amount of time it would to constantly pressure for this information. It’s honestly why I require deposits through square so I can set auto reminder emails to be sent and then cancel invoices that don’t get paid.

The only reason I’m actually speaking about this and giving this explanation is because in the last two months I have had people get upset with me not only verbally over the phone but in messages because “it’s ridiculous that I don’t follow through because that way the customer wouldn’t forget about the order they need and then not have any treats for their event”.

This isn’t to cause drama this is again just a transparency post like I’ve shared with other things in the past to remind people that small business owners are just as human as everyone else .
Thank you to those who have and continue to support this dream of mine I’m forever grateful to be able to do something I love!
