*****HURRICANE HELENE DONATIONS *****
We are heading east later this week and we're taking a trailer of supplies for those impacted by the hurricane.
The trailer is sitting at Living Word Church and will be until Thursday at 3pm. Feel free to take your donations to the church, or just go stick them right on the trailer!
It's is an open trailer so make sure they're bagged or boxed up already to transport, and closed up tight in case of inclement weather on the way!! And keeps me from having to find something to pack it away in lol maybe a rubber tub would be best
If you want to donate monetarily to help with the cost of the trip out there ... or for us to buy supplies for you instead, -Holloman-2 is my venmo. I do also have zelle
Being on the gulf, we have all lived in the aftermath of a storm at some point in our lives, but most of us have never seen something like this! Entire towns washed away. People who may never be found. The images coming out of there are horrific! For a lot of people, there is no gut and repair like so many of us have had to do. There literally nothing left, their home just washed away. 💔 if you haven't seen the videos, I urge you go look them up on tiktok.
To make matter worse, there's a cold front coming and people have no shelter, no way to keep warm, no food.
Think of any hurricane we've ever dealt with and the supplies we've needed to repair. Now add cold🥶
Things I've heard they need
Chainsaws
Sleeping bags
Blankets
Jackets
Bug spray
Work Gloves
Rubber Boots
Lights
Batteries - though we can't take too many of these since the could blow up if they get too hot on the trailer 😬
N95 masks
Manual can openers
Tents
Non-perishable foods
Dog food
Generators
LifeStraws
Heaters - besides propane I don't know how we'd run them..but we can't take a bunch of propane
Baby Supplies - bottles, formula, diapers, wipes, rash cream, soap
Hygiene products - soap, Toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, Feminine Products, Flushable Wipes - I'VE HEARD THERE'S AN OFFER ABUNDANCE OF THESE THINGS
First aid - bandaids, alcohol, Peroxide, neosporin
Medicines - advil, Tylenol, chewable Benadryl, insulin, epi-pens
Clean up supplies - long handled squeegees, bleach, spray bottles, rakes, trash bags, sponges
Grocery bags for food and household items
While of course they always need water, we can't haul too too much of it so try to focus on the other things! I'VE HEARD THERE'S AN OVER ABUNDANCE OF WATER
Let's help our fellow Americans! Especially since we're hurricane experts and I don't they've ever seen something like this
