Good evening Sourdough Hounds!
Little bit of a change of plans, the Hounds Heart Sourdough stand in Payette will be CLOSED this weekend, 6/20-21 and we will not be at the Midvale Farmers Market . We've got family visiting from out of state so I won't be able to bake. Fear not though we'll be back up and running before ya know it.
In the meantime pre-orders are open through Tuesday for a Thursday 6/18 pickup in Payette.
I really appreciate your patience during this short break and I look forward to having the stand open soon for your Sourdough enjoyment, thank you!

Good morning Sourdough Hounds!
Your pre-orders are on the cooling racks and will be ready for pickup at our Hounds Heart Sourdough stand in Payette around 11am today 6/11 till dark.
Pre-order pickup only today, no other bread available till next week.

The stand will be closed this weekend for our grand-daughters high-school graduation but we'll be going again for your Sourdough delight the following weekend.

Good afternoon my over glutenized Sourdough Hounds! We are Sold Out!
You guys really rocked it this weekend and I couldn't be more grateful!
So here's the deal, we're going to be closed next weekend, 6/12-14 the stand in Payette and the Midvale market, to travel to our grand-daughters high-school graduation, but, if there's any interest I'll open er up for a special THURSDAY ONLY bake. Its up to you guys, I've had a couple of inquiries so I thought I'd put it out there.
So, for now, pre-orders are open through Tuesday this week for a Thursday pickup in Payette, and if theres any interest I'll also bake for the stand. We won't be at Midvale Farmers Market
I cannot put into words how blessed I am at the response we've gotten on this little sourdough venture, I'm a one trick pony, I dont make rolls , cookies, soaps, crumbles, beard oils, or any of the other stuff the other great stands around offer, I do one thing, SOURDOUGH. So the fact that you've been so great is humbling. Thank you!

Inclusion loaves $14
This will probably be the last of the blueberry for a bit till I wrangle up some good blueberries.

Today Wednesday 6/3 is the last day to pre-order for a Friday/weekend pickup, order your favorite flavors or maybe something you haven't tried off the menu, and you don't have to worry about them being sold out.
This weekend our Hounds Heart Sourdough self serve stand will be open for pre-order pickup on Friday and regular hours Saturday and Sunday.

We've got a ton of new followers and we are so grateful! I figured maybe its time to share again how we got here and why, the why will never change.

THE HOUND THE HEART AND THE WHY.
This is Ms Roxie, the Hound behind Hounds Heart Sourdough, she was a Bluetic Walker c**n hound who came to us at about 8 months old in 2018, never a model of obedience she none the less captured all our hearts with her love and shenanigans, she became my constant companion in the mountains, on runs , and always met me at the gate after a long week at work. She was the princess of the house.
Around 3 or 4 years old she was diagnosed with a slight heart murmur which the vet said we should keep an eye on but we really didn't know much about it and just assumed it would be okay. As time went on she became more sensitive to heat on our runs and tire more easily. Fast forward to February 2025 and she came down with congestive heart failure and overnight we almost lost her, after a trip to the hospital and a cardiologist they were able to get her back on track with daily medication and strict diet. But the reality was it was temporary, and in June her heart deteriorated and we lost her, absolutely heartbreaking.
We didn't know that if we'd taken her early on to a cardiologist that with medication we could have most likely prolonged her life exponentially.
Also in February recovering from double knee replacements I learned to make sourdough as a fun hobby, then friends and neighbors started wanting sourdough, I started selling some to help offset Roxies medication and medical expenses. After we lost her we wanted to find a way to raise awareness to canine heart health and possibly prevent others from going through what we did, and Hounds Heart Sourdough was born.

Good morning Sourdough Hounds! We had a great time last Saturday at the Midvale Farmers Market , and a great weekend at our little sourdough stand in Payette!
Anyone who makes sourdough knows what's involved and to have such a great response always feels good and makes the time and care that goes into it worthwhile. Thank you to all our great customers, you guys rock!
The plan is to be back in Midvale again on Saturday, sharing about canine heart health and of course bringing great sourdough, come visit us and all the other awesome small town vendors!
Of course our self serve sourdough stand in Payette will be open all weekend as well.
