When you taste my authentic sweet bread you are transported in time when this bread was a staple of every Portuguese household. This recipe has been passed down in my family for generations carrying on a tradition of love and family. Now I welcome you into my family through my love of Portuguese Sweet Bread.

Hi everyone. This Friday, May 15th, Karen Barker and I will be opening up Ma’s General Store at 12 River Road in Pawcatuck. The hours will be 6am-8pm but subject to change. I will have Sweet Bread ready and Karen will be working hard making breakfast sandwiches, grinders and dinners all grab and go. Our store will also be selling a great variety of groceries including produce, dairy, frozen foods and ice cream. We wanted to get the doors open and will still be working hard on getting everything perfected so please let us know how we can improve as we start this journey. Can’t wait to see all of you 🫶
