First cookie decorating class of the week is officially in the books! And look at these ladies showing off their creations!
And since apparently disclaimers are part of my baking supplies now… 😂 The cookie photo used to advertise the class was not my work. The cookie cutters had to be ordered, so we used the pic from the website I purchased them from to show what we’d be making, which was told to library. I never claimed those cookies were mine.
AND… I’m pretty sure absolutely no one cared or was confused by that… well, except one person. 😉😂 So there ya go, Cookie Police — case closed. 🚔🍪
Meanwhile, I’ll just be over here having fun, teaching classes, decorating cookies, and growing my little business. 🩷

I’m excited to be partnering with St. James Parish Library again for an Adult Cookie Decorating Class! We’ll be decorating an adorable set of spooky-but-cute Halloween cookies and I’ll be walking you through them step-by-step. No decorating experience needed!

🛑 I normally wouldn’t address something like this publicly, but since it was brought to Facebook publicly, I feel the need to clarify.

Another baker has accused me of using AI to copy one of her cookie designs. When I became aware of the issue, I reached out to her privately because I wanted to handle it respectfully. Unfortunately, instead of responding to me, the situation was posted publicly.

I want to be clear that I have never intentionally copied another baker’s work or tried to take anything away from another small business. I do use AI at times to help create promotional graphics and mock-ups, but there was absolutely no intention of taking someone else’s work and claiming it as my own.

I also don’t look at other local bakers as “competition.” There is room for all of us. I’ve supported, recommended, and even referred customers to other bakers, and I’ll continue to do so.

If anyone ever has a concern with something I create or post, my inbox is always open. I would much rather have a respectful conversation privately than see assumptions made publicly.

I’m not posting this to create drama or encourage anyone to leave negative comments toward another business. I simply wanted to address my side since the situation was made public.

I’ll keep doing what I love, making sweets, supporting other small businesses, and appreciating everyone who supports Grand Point Sweets. ❤️🍪
