I made another Golden Hazelnut Chocolate Cake this weekend for a customer.

The cake is a moist, dark chocolate cake, filled with a Nutella cream filling that contains an abundance of finely chopped toasted hazelnuts.

The outer cake is iced with a delicious Nutella buttercream.

The cake is decorated with an edible hand-made golden flower and gold-gilded toasted hazelnuts.

Making the decorations for this cake is time-consuming, but I love the outcome.

Feedback received from customer: “Your cake was a tremendous hit.” 🙂

A mother is the center of her family.

A mother takes care of everything from home-cooked meals, performing first aid on skinned knees and elbows, providing hugs and comfort when we need it most, creating wonderful holiday memories, and just generally being a source of good advice.

This short list only scratches the surface of all the ways that mothers love and care for their families.

To all of the great mothers out there, you are WAY cool, and you are seen, and loved.

Our older son requested a Chocolate Hazelnut Cake for his birthday this year, combining his two favorite flavors.

This is a dark chocolate cake, with a whipped Nutella filling, and finely chopped toasted hazelnut folded in. I had a hard time not eating this filling with a spoon! So good!

The cake has a delicious buttercream icing, also made with Nutella.

I topped the cake with an edible handmade gold flower and gold-gilded toasted hazelnuts that had been dipped in chocolate.

A regal cake, for a prince of a son! 👑

Our precious granddaughter has a slight speech impediment. She works with a speech therapist at school, who instructed her to clearly enunciate her words. So, as a result, if Lizzie says the word play, it may come out as puh-lay.

Whenever Lizzie comes to our house, she asks me if I have any fluff, as she loves to dip strawberries in it. Except, Lizzie pronounces it fuh-luff. It is so gosh darned cute!

In Lizzie’s honor, all of my marshmallow fluff products will be known as “Fuh-Luff” going forward! I love it, and I love that little girl! ❤️

I’ve been busy coming up with new products. At any given time, I’ve got dozens of new product ideas that I want to try out in my head. It’s very crowded up there. 🤓

How about these gourmet Turtle pretzel rods made with fine Belgian chocolate, homemade caramel, and toasted pecans? Yes, please!! 🐢 Look at the size of these babies!

My next ideas for gourmet pretzel rods involve marshmallow, and, of course, chocolate. Stay tuned.
