Your RV’s propane stove is handy, but it deserves respect. Here are 3 things every RV owner should know:
Ventilation is a must. Burning propane releases carbon monoxide and moisture. Crack a window or roof vent and run the range hood fan every time you cook.
Watch the flame color. A healthy flame is steady and blue. Yellow, orange, or sooty flames can mean incomplete combustion or a burner problem, so have it checked.
Know the smell. Propane smells like rotten eggs. If you smell it, turn off the LP tank valve, don’t touch light switches or anything that sparks, get everyone out, and air out the RV before having it inspected.
🚫 What to avoid:
❌ Using your stove to heat the RV
❌ Leaving burners on unattended
❌ Cooking with the windows and vents closed
❌ Keeping paper towels, curtains, or flammables near the burners
❌ Driving or refueling with propane appliances running
❌ Ignoring a CO or LP detector that’s beeping, expired, or disconnected
Propane safety starts with a system you can trust. Our inspections include checking your LP system, appliances, and detectors so you can cook with peace of mind. ✅
