It seems strange to post an introduction inside a goodbye but here goes….For those of you who don’t know me outside of Farmhouse, this is how our place got started. Our little farm shed that fed so many families over the last 15 years where we shared produce from our garden, fruit from our orchard, raw milk and home baked, organic sourdough bread. I am a mom that loves sharing organic food and thought opening an organic coffee shop in Palo Cedro where we could serve organic pastries and bread would be a fun way to spend a few days off of the farm. I did not expect it to be a place where I spent 16 hours a day, 6 and often 7 days a week. I am not a business woman, I am a mom, a wife and a farmer and the cafe has been such a great learning space for our family but it is not the right fit for our family long term. In February, I am going to be closing the cafe and back to running my cute little farm shed and taking care of my animals and family. I will still be doing my catering and selling sourdough bread and bagels. If you know of anyone looking to open a cafe, this space is so cute and easy to walk in and start your own gig so send them my way. Please come by January 13th-31st to use up your gift cards and say goodbye to our awesome baristas. I hope those of you who have become like family to us will bring the kids up and visit us at our farm and know that I will miss seeing all of your faces every day. We appreciate all of you that supported us and loved our little cafe. 💖
