Spring sports aren’t quite finished yet — we see you, Baseball, Boys Soccer, and Track! Good luck in the postseason; we're rooting for you! But it’s time to gather for our annual Spring Sports Recognition Ceremony.

All high school and middle school spring sports coaches, student-athletes, and their families are invited to join the Athletic Department and Boosters on Wednesday, June 3 at 6PM for an evening of celebration.

The Boosters, with help from Caruso's Creative Confections and Not Cakes Gourmet Cupcakes, will provide dessert tables. Pepsi-Cola is generously donating drinks. And our very own AD Morris will serve as MC for the night.

We’re excited to recognize the hard work, accomplishments, and ongoing success of our spring teams!

The last of my graduation 2026 cakes, and the only one I wasn’t 💯 on. They wanted a tuxedo cake, which in theory I could do. BUT….the chocolate cake I make is very moist, so sometimes it’s difficult to stack. Who would ever think cake being too moist was a bad thing??? Anyway, after frosting this cake and adding the ganache, it looked clumsier than I would’ve liked. I heard it tasted good, but this will need to be remade this week so I can make sure every cake I put out is the best reflection of me and my brand.
And don’t get me started on the strawberries I made, the yellow chocolate was too thick and the blue wasn’t our school colors. 🤦🏾‍♀️ But I keep it honest and share the good, the mostly good, and the “what in the world”. If it was easy, it wouldn’t be worth it. Thanks for trusting me even on my “what in the world” days, appreciate the support. Shout out to my brother .ferg for the video support.

Last one for today. Had the pleasure of doing these cupcakes for my cousin and my friend who are expecting a new baby. First pic was the inspiration, second one was my interpretation. Can’t wait to meet my new cousin! Are you team boy or team girl?

Next up….

My friend’s daughter celebrated her 15th birthday this weekend with a sleepover. It was a #15 cake, a pan of cannoli dip, and 10 craft lemonades. I didn’t get a pic of the cannoli dip but it’s a crowd pleaser and can be enjoyed with fresh fruit, graham crackers or just about anything. Forgot to snag a pic of the lemonades too but there was regular, strawberry, and tropical explosion. My friend texted me the first pic Wednesday 5/20 and asked me if I could make a cake like that. Just the cake, not decorated. Sure, when do you need it? Saturday, 5/23 🤦🏾‍♀️. The bad words that I thought. Cause it’s not like it graduation weekend or anything. But I’m going to do it. Second two pics are of the cake I made. My color is a little darker but she still liked it. Last two pics are after she decorated it. I mean, she might need to join my team just to decorate cause it turned out lovely. I know a lot of creatives y’all.

A little peek into my end-of-week/weekend baking. Helped celebrate the end of the JV softball season, as well as a few treats for boys baseball senior night. Then on to some graduation cupcakes. Fluvanna’s graduation is this coming Friday and ya girl is going to be hella busy, wouldn’t have it any other way. Lots of baking on tap along with some catering, stay tuned for a recap when I recover 😊. Thanks for letting me play a small part in your big days.
