When does Fall begin, according to you?

Maybe this question should be worded more like: When do you start decorating your houses with fake leaves and drinking your PSLs here in Florida 😂

I honestly just need to know when it's socially acceptable to bake a pumpkin pie. I don't want to wait until Thanksgiving to eat pumpkin pie this year!

The best part about baking pies are the SCRAPS 😉

Sometimes the pie craving hits as I'm putting together a customer's pie. I actually don't (to my husband's dismay) bake pies on a regular basis for my own family, though I should! Today, I had extra filling and dough, so Triple Berry hand pies are what the family gets today!

In other news, Summertime has me slowing down baking a little. I've just been spending more time sitting/playing with the kiddos; slowing down for extra contact naps with my daughter, getting more reading time in, extra playtime outside, and teaching my 4 year old to crack eggs haha! I'm serious, he's so obsessed with cracking eggs and helping to make his own breakfast. It's very cute and very messy, but he's gotta learn!

Slowing down has also helped redirect my aim for this pie business/future plans and given me a chance to work ON the business vs. IN the business. It's hard doing both at once, sometimes, and something I'm still learning how to do!

All this "slowing down" will speed back up soon! We've got some exciting things up our sleeves and we can't wait to share more with you all! 👀

This patriotic Stars and Stripes pie features 1/4 Classic Blueberry filling and 3/4 Cherry filling inside 🇺🇸

It's 🍑 Peach Week 🍑 at PBH! Peach pies are going out to you lovely pie people today and I can't wait for you to taste them!

Fresh Georgia peaches (hand peeled and sliced by yours truly) in a lightly spiced sauce and cradled in our signature, all-butter crust! Pair with vanilla ice cream, and you've got yourself a good weekend 🥧

There will be ONE more Peach Pie drop in July - Stay tuned for info on when that will be (or subscribe to our Hotplate SMS notifications to be the first to know when ordering is open)

I got my hands on some tasty Georgia peaches and will soon be busy prepping for Friday's very limited Peach Pie Only drop! Here's what I'll have available:

8 - 9" Standard Pies (serves 8)
10 - 5" Personal Pies (could serve 2)

We are taking the time to celebrate our son's 4th birthday 🎂 this coming weekend, as well as the dads in our lives!
