pls go read if you’re a customer of mine. This was a hard decision to make but i know it’s what’s best.
As you all may know, i took last week off so I could focus on school, as it was my midterm week. During that week, my productivity and energy definitely skyrocketed. While i was focusing on school, I also did a lot of reflecting. Dipping Strawberries is something that I love doing, but I definitely overworked myself the first month of opening my business, which i feel led me to feeling ‘burnt out’. I was constantly overworking myself to try and make enough money for school, and overworking myself caused me to not pay as much attention on my actual schoolwork as i was on working ‘enough’ to accumulate enough money for my monthly payments.
With this all being said, as much as I enjoyed making strawberries and i enjoyed watching my progress and knowing that you all loved my work, I have made the decision to work a regular job in place of running a business as a full time job.
I am currently in my first year of college, on the road to becoming a nurse. A lot of studying is necessary to excel in this major and unfortunately, while running a business full time i feel as i’m not able to dedicate as much time to it as i wish i could.
Although i will be working a regular job, I will not COMPLETELY stop making strawberries. I will still be taking appointments on a weekly basis, and I will be releasing my weekly availability a couple days before the week starts. By making this decision, I will be able to find a healthy balance between school, a regular job, and my business.
I hope you all understand. I have loved serving you and I have appreciated every ounce of support you have given me. I am making this decision knowing it’s what’s best for me, my progress, and my mental health.
Thank you so much.
Love, Bumble Sweets.
