Congratulations to Pueblo Seed & Food Company ! So grateful for your leadership in local food production.

This weekend is the 3rd anniversary of opening our Bakehouse & Farm Store in Cortez, Colorado and we thought it would be a good time to reintroduce ourselves. We are a 25 acre certified organic family farm, specializing in heritage and ancient grains, chile peppers, garlic, melons and vegetable seeds. Our name Pueblo Seed & Food Co. was selected when we were farming in Pueblo County, Colorado, near the village of Avondale. We moved our operation to McElmo Canyon in 2021 to grow seed in better isolation and avoid cross pollination of maize, in particular. We have been wholesale suppliers for many years to national seed companies, natural food stores and other makers, which is why we have limited retail hours (we farm, clean seed, make and ship products most days of the week). Our team consists of owners Nanna Meyer and Dan Hobbs, 7 employees, and 7 partner farms. This photo was taken a couple of weeks before opening day in 2023. We will be celebrating our anniversary this Saturday August 29, from 9-3, with a Brunch, Chile Roasting and some discounted products. Please join us!
