For over 3 years you all have been the best customers a girl could ask for. I met so many amazing people, made some great friends and pushed myself further than I thought I could ever go. It has been such a beautiful ride. I couldn't have done it without any of you. Thank you for loving Little Lola's and for allowing me to have a small part of all your special events and celebrations. It was a great ride.

Heart to Heart Time:
As many of you known I am getting ready to graduate from grad school with my Masters in School Counseling. I have been so blessed to have been the school counselor at Fordland Elementary this past year as I have finished up my masters degree. I pray I can stay at this school for many years to come as I truly believe it is my mission field and is exactly where the Lord wants me in this season.
I have worked so hard to get where I am. But with this journey, there have come some losses. I have lost all knowledge of what a healthy sit- down meal is. The concept of not gaining weight went out the window several years ago, so my health has been greatly affected. I can't remember the last time I had a spontaneous night out with friends or went to a movie where I didn't feel guilty for not studying. I have put relationships aside as I focused on my degrees and my business. I have lost precious time with my kids that I will never get back. I have no regrets as I knew there would be sacrifice. But the time has come for Melody to take care of Melody. I finally have the perfect job for me and now I get to focus on what's important; my friends, family and health.
So saying all that, I have decided to close up Little Lola's. It wasn't an easy decision but it's what's right for me and those whom I love.
Here are some dates.
*Final day for Little Lolas is Wednesday May 10.
*I will stop taking orders on May 3.
*No orders for May 2-5 as that's my graduation week.
*I will only be making Strawberry cakes after May 1.
*If you need a cake for Mother's Day, it will freeze for a week or so so you can order it for earlier pickup.
*If you have a wedding planned, I will honor that contract.
* And no, I can't give you or sell you any of the recipes 😍

What an amazing journey this has been. I have met so many sweet people and have been so honored to be a part of your special days with my creations. My kids and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Introduction

Hello, My name is Melody and I would like to take the time to formerly introduce myself as I have had questions if I am affiliated with Lola’s, the infamous restaurant and bakery located in Nixa, MO. Sadly, in August 2019, Lola’s caught fire and the restaurant closed. I was one of the bakers there but I also was a waitress and also apart of the kitchen staff:) I had the pleasure of working with Jennifer (owner) and grew a love for the not only the restaurant and employees but also our faithful customers. Lola’s became famous of the years for many things, but most recently the Strawberry cake. So, once it was final Lola’s would not reopen, I was blessed with opportunity to continue baking cakes for our beloved customers. So here we are! I’m a single mother of two crazy teenagers and blessed to do something I love each and every day, BAKING!

I am my own business not necessarily affiliated with the previous Lola’s but I thought it was important to honor the amazing company and continue to use the same recipes that we all LOVE. Hints the name LITTLE LOLA’S. I do have the rights to the recipes granted to me by the Owner and a so blessed to be able to make cakes for you all!
