For those who don’t know me, I was born and raised right here in Lake Orion and graduated in 2009. The Little Loaf Bakehouse started because I wanted to help support my family and help pay for daycare.
But somewhere along the way, it became so much more. I didn’t realize how much I needed something that would give me my “pink back.” A little piece of the fun, creative, joyful version of myself that was lost when life became all about work, responsibilities, and taking care of everyone else.
I needed something that was mine. Something that made me feel like me again.
Baking has become more than a business to me. It has become a part of my soul. And I truly believe God knew I needed this before I even realized it myself.
I started this bakery with one purpose in mind: to help my family. But God has used it for something much bigger than that. He has given me a creative outlet, a sense of purpose, and a way to connect with people that I never expected.
And one of the greatest gifts of starting The Little Loaf Bakehouse has been this community.
This little bakery has given me a reason to connect with Lake Orion in a way I never expected. I’ve met so many wonderful people, seen familiar faces, made new friends, heard your stories, and gotten to share something I love with the place that raised me.
And somehow, even though Lake Orion has always been home, building this little bakery here has made it feel even more like home, if that’s even possible. 💛
I’m incredibly thankful for every person who has supported me, shared a post, bought a loaf, tried a cookie, told a friend about The Little Loaf Bakehouse, or simply stopped by to say hello. I don’t take any of it for granted.
And now I get to bring The Little Loaf Bakehouse to Dragon on the Lake! 🐉
I’ll have all the favorites you guys have made VERY clear you can’t get enough of.
