Okay y’all… little weekend update.

I will NOT be set up anywhere this weekend. Taking a couple days to lay low, regroup and work on some things behind the scenes.

Now before anybody panics 😂 preorders are ALWAYS open. If you need cookies, message me. I’m not disappearing, I’m just not dragging the whole circus out this weekend.

Cookies, Halloween goodies and a few fun little surprises mixed in because apparently I can’t just have one idea and leave it alone. 😂

Yes, I know you’re wondering what I’m up to.

I am too half the time. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I start with one idea, disappear into the kitchen for a while and somewhere along the way things tend to get a little questionable… which is usually when they start getting good.

New month. New cookies. Boo Baskets & Boxes. Store getting closer. And lots happening that I’m not quite ready to show you yet.

So I may be laying low this weekend… but quiet has never really been my thing. 🖤🎶🍪

And that’s a wrap on Pizza Week! 🍕🍪

Huge congratulations to all of this year’s winners, both the Judges’ Choice winners and the People’s Choice winners! 👏

This week was such a fun one to be a part of, and seeing so many local businesses get creative, try something different and have our community show up to support them is pretty dang cool.

And thank YOU to every single person who came out, tried Plot Twist, sent messages, shared posts, gave feedback and supported this slightly unhinged idea of turning pizza into a cookie. 😂 I knew it wouldn’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but I also knew I wanted to do something completely different… and y’all let me run with it.

Congratulations again to ALL the winners! Now back to your regularly scheduled cookie chaos. 🤘🍪

ARE YOU READY?! 👀

Because every single time I walk into this space, or am being sent pictures…it feels a little more real.

From signing the lease… to tearing things out… to paint finally hitting the walls… and now the first coat going down on those floors. 🥹

Watching this little vision I’ve had in my head slowly start showing up in an actual building is WILD.

And I have to give a huge thank you to Continuous Flow for the amazing work and the HOURS you both have already poured into helping bring this place to life. You’ve listened to my ideas, my “okay but what if we did THIS…” moments 😂 and somehow started turning all of it into something even better than I pictured.

And the crazy part?

The best part hasn’t even happened yet. 👀

I cannot WAIT for everyone to see what Continuous Flow will be doing for us over these next few weeks. There are some pretty special things coming to this space, and I’m trying so hard not to spill it all before they get the chance to work their magic.

We’re getting there, y’all.

Little by little, this empty storefront is becoming Perfectly Artisanal. 🍪🎶📚

And I seriously cannot wait to open those doors and let you all finally see what we’ve been building.

First off… THANK YOU! This week has once again been NONSTOP with orders, so I’m going to apologize ahead of time and say quantities will be limited across the board tomorrow. 😅

And to those of you who always order ahead… I got you. 🖤 You make my chaotic little cookie life a whole lot easier.

Also a little heads up for next week too: I will NOT be set up anywhere, but I’ll be taking orders through Wednesday before I disappear for a few days to recharge my soul with two of the best ladies I know, four days of fabulous music, some sunshine and probably very little sleep. 😂🎶

So please extend to me some grace over these next few weeks because we are officially in TRANSITION MODE around here. Between orders, events, getting the new store ready, and about 47 other things happening behind the scenes, there are a whole lot of moving pieces right now… but SO many fun things are coming.

Okay so apparently Facebook has been listening to my life again because these two popped up tonight and… yeah. 😂

Today I did a thing…. A really big, slightly terrifying, what the hell am I doing kind of thing.

I gave my notice at U.S. Bank.

October 9 will officially be my last day.

I’ve gone back and forth on this decision more times than I could even tell you. I’ve questioned whether I’m ready, whether the timing is right, whether I’m completely insane 😂… all of it.

But at some point you have to stop waiting until you feel 100% ready, because I’m pretty sure that day never actually comes.

This little cookie business I started has somehow turned into something I never could have imagined. And now there’s a storefront. There are plans scribbled everywhere. There are cookies to make, stories to tell, ridiculous ideas in my head that I finally have the time to actually chase… and I think I’m ready to see what happens when I give it everything I’ve got.

Am I excited? Absolutely.

Am I scared? Also absolutely. 😂

But it feels like it’s time to go ALL in

So yeah… apparently we’re turning the damn page.

So people have been asking me WHY I did the cookie I did for Pizza Week… and really, that’s a totally fair question lol …. there are a few reasons.

First, I wanted to stretch myself as a baker. I actually love taking things that don’t necessarily make sense and figuring out how to make them work together. Sometimes you try it and think, okayyyyy I see what you did there… and sometimes it’s absolutely not for you. 😂 And I get that.

That’s art. That’s food. Heck, that’s life.

But also, if you haven’t noticed by now, I try my absolute damndest NOT to do what everyone else is doing.

Do I pay attention to trends? Of course. Do I watch what other bakers around here are doing? I sure try to… as much as they allow me to anyway. 😂👀

Not because I want to recreate what they’re doing, but because I DON’T want to.

There are way too many flavors and combinations out there for you to walk into five different bakeries and find the same three or four cookies at every one. I want you to be able to come to me and find something you probably aren’t finding somewhere else.

And Plot Twist gave me a chance to crack open another little door I’ve been playing with and wanting to walk through for a while… savory cookies.

Because if I can get you to try this one and realize, wait a minute, I actually LIKE a savory cookie… maybe the next time I throw one at you, you’ll be a little more willing to trust me, and be like, ohhhhh there she goes, Again! 😂

And trust me when I tell you, I have several others I’ve been sitting on that I LOVE and have been dying to show you.

Savory donuts are a thing. Sweet and savory combinations are everywhere. So why have we decided cookies have to stay in their little sweet-cookie box?

Nah. 😂

Give me a chance, be open to my craziness. I’ll still make the cookies you already know and love, but I’m also going to keep pushing myself, playing with flavors and occasionally making something that has you looking at the description thinking, “Laurie… what the hell are you doing?”

Just try it first. 😂

Because there is a whole other side of my flavor brain I haven’t even introduced you to yet… and I think we’re gonna have some fun with it. 🖤🍪
