Good morning, all! So sorry for the lack of communication over the last several weeks. I have spent the time processing, preparing for, and going through surgery on my cervical spine to treat a myelopathy and degenerated disc in my neck. I still have 4+ weeks before I can lift anything 5 pounds or more, so I am on a hiatus for any sort of baking. 😢
This means I have had to cancel my plans to vend at the Ferguson winter Farmers Market with all the other vendors I have come to love and appreciate so much. Please, still attend this market and support these local businesses.
I will post an update once I am released from any medical holds and am able to bake again to take orders.
Thank you all for your understanding!

I will be back at Ferguson's indoor Farmer's Market at St. Stephen's Church this Saturday the 18th. Come see me before noon for your Thanksgiving week goodies!

I will have 1/2 pint jars and 1/4 pint jars of my new pawpaw butter (made with Earthdance Organic Farmschool pawpaws)! These make a great gift idea for the holidays, if you're starting shopping early and need to buy for a foodie who seems to have tried everything under the sun. ☀️

You can also message me to place an order and pay in advance for pickup at the Market. This is the best way to ensure I don't sell out of your dream treats before you make it to the Market!

Good morning!! I am beyond pleased to announce that my first batch of homemade pawpaw butter (using pawpaws from EarthDance Organic Farm School) was a huge success and has been canned to ensure freshness.

There are a limited number of 1/2 pint jars available from this first batch available for purchase. Please let me know if you are interested and would like more information!

This is the perfect opportunity to try this incredible native fruit that is only in season for a couple of weeks and that you cannot find in grocery stores. Keep in mind that these fruits age quickly, so the pawpaw butter will be at its best if used within 3 weeks of opening (when kept refrigerated after the seal is opened).

1/4 pint jars to be produced and available soon!

This weekend I'll be one of several vendors with disabilities set up inside the History Museum during FestAbility 2023 this Saturday in Forest Park.

Come on by to support your local disabled vendors and learn more about disabilities that impact people in your community. This is a celebration to bring awareness and support the incredible people who are warriors in ways you can't even imagine! There will be food trucks and music outside.

Feel free to come by to shop (and ask me about my disabilities/handicaps)! Mine may be invisible, but that doesn't make me any less of a warrior! 💪

I feel so honored to be a part of this event for the second year in a row; it is a pleasure to create these treats from traditional recipes to share with the public.

The Blueberry Honey Cake will be made with local honey from Florissant, MO, courtesy of Tinker's Bees & Pure Raw Honey. Honey is such a strong flavor that I had to use my favorite one in this.

In honor of my own Choctaw heritage, I will have Choctaw Fault Cake available this year. For those unfamiliar with it, this is made with the flavors of pumpkin, cocoa, and cinnamon.

The corn cookies are a nice and mildly-sweet bite for those who prefer a more rounded treat than sweet. There will be the option of with and without raisins this year.

The feast cookies also have an incredibly well-rounded flavor with the rich, ground pine nuts and hints of anise seed. Anise seed can easily overtake the flavors in a baked treat, but this cookie has my favorite balance of this spice with other flavors.

And last, but not least: I will have a much larger supply of Paw Paw custard cookies this year thanks to the large supply of Paw Paw I bought from EarthDance Organic Farm School this year. This native fruit is incredibly tropic in taste, reminiscent of mango and banana combined. One taste, and you'll be hooked!

This year, I will have some gluten-free and vegan versions of these traditional recipes, since no one should be deprived of this cultural experience for a dietary restriction. These will be limited and first come first served.
