Our collaboration of Bakers stand united and demand a ceasefire now!


We chose December 23rd to post in honor of Khaled Nabhan and his 3-year-old granddaughter Reem’s shared birthday.
Reem and her 5-year-old brother, Tarek, were k*ll*d by an air strike while they were sleeping in their bed.
Reem’s grandfather explained, “We were inseparable, I loved her more than my soul,” he wanted nothing more than any of us want for our children and grandchildren.
More than 8,000 children have been k*ll*d. (reported by the BBC)

Forever enamored with the beauty of pistachios. Today is the 11th anniversary of my beloved grandma’s passing, and one of my favorite memories of her is the way she admired beautiful, simple things, like the “flower” you see when you cut and apple across the middle, or how you could roll an orange peel into a rose.
So, today, as I shell and peel nuts for a tart crust, I hope you take a moment to enjoy the beauty of these perfect pistachios đź’ś.
