While today seemed gloomy, it turned out to be the perfect kind of day for taking photos and videos! I captured some amazing footage of many of our superstar dahlias, giving me plenty to share and enjoy during the colder months ahead.

I honestly think I could have stayed out there until dark, but I started feeling a little guilty about not making my son Grant a homemade dinner. So, three very wet dogs and I headed inside to call it a day and get some dinner on the table!

Even on a gloomy day, there’s still so much beauty to be found in the flower field.

Saturday was our final farm event of the year, and honestly, it’s truly a favorite of mine. We take dried materials from the season and turn them into a beautiful fall faux pumpkin. The weather was enchanting, the company delightful, and the beauty created so inspiring. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect ending to our season.

Thank you to all of you who have visited the farm this year. You make all of our hard work so worth it!!

These lovely, farm-grown dahlia bouquets will be available Saturday morning at 8:30 AM in our Blossom Shop! We have lots of beautiful color options, including some seasonal favorites: Peachy Perfection, Strawberries ’n Cream, Sunburst, and Fall Flair!

This is it!!! If the weather holds true, tonight will bring a killing frost to our fields. I rushed around and harvested the most gorgeous color palettes to bring to you one final time. These are big and beautiful dahlia bouquets with anywhere from 10-14 stems for only $25. Here’s the thing; you must reserve one by prepurchasing through our website. Pick up is tomorrow 7a-7p.

Today I had a tiny assistant helping me label the dahlias! Well… she mostly wanted to play with my stuff, but there was still some training happening. 😂

Small steps, literally, and she is going to make the cutest farm help I’ve got!

This week I have been using every spare minute to photograph the dahlias and to flag them. When the frost arrives (possibly Monday) they will be unrecognizable. Before that happens I Check to make sure my field map is updated and all dahlias are labeled with their name using flagging tape. This way I am able to dig them, divide and store without mixing them all up.

I feel like they just really started blooming and now sadly it is time@to say goodbye. I appreciate everyone who came out to our clear the field upick and who has been grabbing our final bouquets this weekend. We are very grateful.

I was hoping to release these little Boo Bouquets closer to Halloween, but Mother Nature had other plans for our flower season! 🎃🌸

These Boo Bouquets are absolutely adorable and VERY limited — only $38!

Each one is filled with our final seasonal blooms and comes in the cutest little ghost container. And when your flowers are finished, the ghost can be reused as a candy jar or storage bin. The little witch’s hat doubles as a sealed lid, making it even more fun!

Looks like we are officially heading into our final week of flowers! ❄️There is a frost on the horizon, and with that, our field will be retired for the year.
