I had an inclination that if I tried this Pinterest thing that everyone was talking about I could quickly become addicted, so for the longest time I avoided even seeing what it was about. When I finally did, as a requirement of my job, it was as if I was a kid in a candy store. Many of the pins gave wonderful (and often delicious) results. But sadly, some of the pins didn’t give the results that t
he pictures promised. Sometimes a little tweak would do the trick, but sometimes even those that seemed like a sure thing left me wanting, or even sunk to the level of epic fail bomb. I scoured the Internet for a website or blog that tests, reviews and rates those pinned recipes, tips, crafts and other ideas. Not finding one, I decided to create it myself. I take popular pins, choosing from my own pin boards and from the top weekly pins from repinly.com, and try several out each week. I follow the recipes or instructions as precisely as possible, documenting along the way, and rate each pin on several criteria, then give an overall rating on a 5-point scale. You can see a little more detail of how it's done on my site methodology page. This is an independent, unbiased, third-party test site with nothing to gain except some weight or messes. Join with me as I test the Pinterest pins so you don’t have to.
