🌿 Meet Mill Creek Tallow 🌿

For several years, Susanne has been creating and experimenting with tallow blends, continually finding new ways to put this traditional ingredient to work.

From whipped tallow blends to lip balms and beyond, each creation reflects her curiosity, creativity, and passion for making something useful from simple ingredients.

And during Vendor Appreciation Month, we’re excited to celebrate the person behind the products—and the story that inspired it all.

Sometimes a product begins with a problem that needs solving.
For Susanne of Mill Creek Tallow, her journey with tallow began at home when her husband developed a skin condition and they struggled to find products that worked for him.

That experience led Susanne to begin experimenting with tallow—and several years later, she continues creating, refining, and developing new blends of her own.

What started with a need became a passion, a creative outlet, and ultimately a small business that we’re proud to have as part of The Artisan Farmers Market.

🇨🇭🌿 Some traditions are worth carrying forward.

Susanne’s mother is Swiss and grew up with a tradition of creating her own natural, homemade concoctions using simple ingredients to help keep her family healthy and happy.

It’s hard not to see a little of those Swiss roots in Susanne and the way she approaches what she creates today.

She has taken that appreciation for traditional, simple ingredients and made it her own—experimenting, creating, and developing tallow blends that reflect her own creativity and experience.

There is something pretty special about watching knowledge and traditions move from one generation to the next, and then seeing someone put their own spin on them.
