Burnt Cake Update 🤣

The strawberry cake that turned into a hockey puck last night got left on the counter because I was too irritated to deal with it. Woke up this morning and it had softened up... and well my family ate half of it.

Apparently it's a pretty good burnt
strawberry cake.😜

The fresh one, though? That's the winner.

Well friends, if anyone was wondering how baking is going over here... let me tell you.😅

Yesterday's strawberry cake had me questioning every life choice because it seemed a little crumbly. So naturally, I decided to make another one today.

Then life decided to throw me some upsetting news, my brain checked out, and I accidentally baked two cakes for FOUR HOURS. 🤦🏼‍♀️🔥

The good news? The smoke detector is still speaking to me.

The bad news? These cakes are now somewhere between a decorative brick and a hockey puck. 😂

Attempt number three is happening because apparently I enjoy stress and talking myself into baking-related panic.

🍋Thank you to everyone who stopped by
the shed and supported us today!

With the race in town and only a few goodies left, we've decided to close up for the day.
We truly appreciate all of your support, kind words, and purchases this weekend.

A special thank you to everyone who grabbed a cup of Izzy's fresh-squeezed lemonade-she worked so hard squeezing lemons, making simple syrup, and serving customers with a smile!

We'll be back next weekend with more treats and goodies, and Izzy will be back with more fresh-squeezed lemonade... and maybe even a brand-new drink to try!🍋🍹
