We’ll be at the West O Farmers Market this Saturday, May 9th from 8AM–12PM and we’d absolutely love to see you there for Mother’s Day weekend!

We’re bringing a full line up of KCC favorites including sourdough loaves, bagels, cinnamon rolls, muffins, scones, oatmeal cream pies and more….plus gluten free options too!

We’re planning for plenty to go around, so come hungry and come early for the best selection.

This is a brand new local market and we’re excited to be part of it alongside so many other amazing small businesses and vendors. If you’re looking for a fun Saturday morning outing, fresh baked goods and a chance to support local, this is your sign.

Grab mom, your bestie, your kids or just yourself and come hang out with us at Lakeside Hills Plaza! We can’t wait to see some familiar faces and hopefully meet a lot of new ones too 🤍

Market season is here… and I want to be real with you guys for a second 🤍

As we head into a full summer schedule, we’re seeing a lot more overlap in categories at some of our regular markets. I love that so many people have found a passion for sourdough and baking, truly. It’s a beautiful thing to see.

That said… it can be a little nerve-wracking showing up to a market with 7–8 vendors in the same lane and not always knowing how the day will go.

Now hear me on this, you guys ALWAYS show up for me. Every single time. And it still surprises me and overwhelms me in the best way. I don’t take that support lightly for a second.

But as we roll into busy season (we’re talking 3–4 markets a week 😅), I do have to be more mindful about how much I’m bringing and how I plan production.

So just to be clear: We are NOT going pre-order only.

There will still be plenty available to shop at the booth, and we’ll keep showing up with a full, beautiful lineup like always. We’re just going to play quantities a little more by ear as the season goes on.

That said, if you’ve got your heart set on your favorites (you know the ones that disappear every single time 👀), pre-ordering is always the safest bet.

You can still pick up at the market, walk around, support other vendors, and enjoy the day, just without the stress of missing out.

This business is growing in a space that’s honestly a little saturated right now, which makes your support mean that much more.

Whether you show up once a week, once a month, or once a year… you matter here more than you know.

meet Jessica 🤍

my ride or die, my soldier best friend, and truly one of my biggest supporters from day one. as many of you know, she recently deployed and saying “we miss her” doesn’t even begin to cover it. 😭

we’ve been through every season of life together… from middle school, to growing up, to kids… and she’s seen this bakery in every single stage it’s gone through.

if you can’t find her at the gym, working, chasing her son around, or planning her next tattoo… you’ll find her right next to me at a pop-up, hyping me up like it’s her full-time job and making sure I don’t spiral mid-rush. 😂

she’s also single-handedly keeping English muffins stocked in her freezer at all times and will never pass up anything blueberry… which honestly might be the real reason we’ve stayed friends all these years.

kidding… kind of 😅

fun fact: she was deployed in 2021 when we got married, so her cardboard cutout made an appearance in nearly every wedding photo… and honestly, it felt exactly right having her there in some way. 🤍

in all seriousness, she’s been in my corner through every phase of this bakery. the long nights, the early mornings, the chaos, the growth… all of it.

so while she’s away, we’re cheering her on just like she’s always done for me.

We’re talking a homemade, silky cream cheese buttercream sandwiched between two soft, heavily announced oatmeal sourdough cookies.

On Sundays, I reluctantly sit down to do bookkeeping.

But first, I made a trip to the Omaha Farmers Market to see some of my favorite friends, vendors, and just pour a little support back into this community that shows up for me week after week.

Then I came home, opened QuickBooks, and honestly, I cried.

I was in complete shock.

You guys… I can’t get over how much trust you’ve put in me. This community, these partnerships, every single order, every conversation, every new face… it’s changed everything.

In April alone, we made what we did all of last year.

Read that again.

I don’t say that to brag. I say that because I’m in awe. I’m grateful. I’m a little overwhelmed in the best way. There’s some very hard seasons and months in this business, and every month does not hit even.

And if you knew what we’re working on right now, what we’re trying to build for this community… this is just the beginning.

This is my reminder to keep going, to keep trusting God, following the passion He put on my heart, and to just watch what happens.
