Sometimes the best sourdough plans are the ones you didn’t plan!

I decided to make dough a little later in the afternoon yesterday, knowing there was a good chance it wouldn’t be ready in time… and sure enough, it wasn’t! So instead of fighting the timeline, I let it do its thing overnight and turned this morning’s overproofed dough into focaccia! 🙌🏼

I picked up some beautiful local honey from Messner Bee Farm at Junkstock, and I knew I had to turn it into a sourdough special!

✨ SALTED HONEY PECAN SOURDOUGH ✨

A golden, buttery sourdough loaf made with Messner honey, toasted pecans, brown butter, cinnamon & a touch of flaky sea salt. 🍯🧈🌰

Sweet, nutty, buttery, and just salty enough to make you keep going back for another slice. 🤤

And that honey comes from Messner Bee Farm in the Kansas City area, so this loaf has a little Midwest local goodness baked right in. ❤️

Okay… I saw this combination and immediately knew I HAD to try it. 😍

A chewy, bubbly sourdough loaf packed with spicy chili crisp, fresh scallions, melty mozzarella and sharp cheddar throughout every bite. 🌶️🧀

Savory. Cheesy. A little spicy. And absolutely packed with flavor.
