I was incredibly happy to be able to make this amazing wedding cake for my beautiful sister this week. Many hours went into this thing, and every second was worth it for how well it turned out. It was thoroughly demolished within minutes.

Been a long time in the works but the day finally came! It was so great to be able to make the cake for my best friend Evelyn’s wedding. So much love to her and Andrew on their happy day. The wedding was so lovely. Thanks again for giving me the opportunity to make this beaut!

Forgot to post this on Monday when I made it. This was a WEIRD recipe and I’ve never made a magic pudding like this but it was actually really easy and very delicious. Needed a dash of salt though. I will definitely be making it again, I couldn’t stop eating it!

Today’s installment on was key lime pie! I don’t feel like Mary Berry’s style of making key lime pie is really my ideal, so I’ll probably look for a new recipe if I want to make it again, but it’s tasty and I had a lot of fun making it pretty! Thanks to those years bartending for teaching me how to make a spiral citrus peel!

In 2021 I have made it my personal goal to bake everything in the Baking with Mary Berry cookbook. There are 101 recipes in the book, and I’ve already made a few, but it’s still a lot of work. The rules of this goal are as follows.

1. If I’ve made it before I don’t have to do it/ it can be counted as already completed.
2. If I have a comparable recipe that has been successful, I don’t have to do it. Especially if I’m pretty sure the one I used is better. (I’m looking at you, chocolate cupcakes. Margarine? Really?? MARGARINE???) The main goal is to learn to bake more new things not to learn to bake exactly like Mary Berry.
3. If I totally botch the recipe it doesn’t count. If it’s still decent but has some problems, I can count it or not at my own discretion.
4. I will stamp the recipes I complete in the cookbook with the date and make any applicable notes. It’s my cookbook I can do whatever I want.
5. If I forget to take a picture it still counts. I may or may not make a post for every recipe. Depending on how busy I am.
