For the cookies šŖ
ā¢ 3 cups bleached, all purpose flour
ā¢ 1 teaspoon baking soda
ā¢ 1/2 teaspoon salt
ā¢ 2 sticks (1 cup) butter at room temperature
ā¢ 1/2 granulated white sugar
ā¢ 1 1/4 cup light brown sugar
ā¢ 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
ā¢ 2 eggs at room temperature
ā¢ 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Sift together the flour, baking soda, & salt. Set aside.
Using a mixer, mix together the butter, granulated sugar, & brown sugar for 3 minutes until well combined.
Add the eggs & vanilla extract. Mix again for 2 minutes until well combined.
Slowly blend in the flour mixture, and mix until well combined. There should be no flour on the bottom of the mixer.
Lastly, mix in the chocolate chips. Take dough out of mixer and form into a large rectangle. Using plastic wrap, wrap the dough completely and let chill in the fridge for at least 24 hours. 48 hours is best, but 24 hours will yield good results.
After the dough has chilled long enough, use a cookie scooper (or a large tablespoon) and form equal size dough balls on a nonstick baking sheet.
Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes, depending on your oven. When they are done, there should be the slightest brown edge to the cookies.
Let the cookies cool for at least 10 minutes before consuming.
