When I set out to open Sweet Charley B’s I had a vision in my head. I actually thought it would be just Krystle and me running the shop, that we wouldn’t need any other employees. On the very first day the shop opened that idea was blown right out of the water along with any other notion I ever had about running my little business. The community support we have and the loyal customers we acquired have made Sweet Charley B’s something I could never have imagined. The memory and name of my little Charley were being supported far beyond what I ever dreamed. Simply amazing…
On the flip side of financial and personal success is sacrifice. My life, my family’s lives and lives of all of my employees have been greatly impacted by all that is required to run a small business. There comes a time when the sacrifice outweighs the success. My kids are still very young and the amount of time and effort dedicated to run Sweet Charley B’s has greatly impacted our family life. It is with much gratitude but also a heavy heart that we announce that Sweet Charley B’s will be closing its doors on Saturday, December 21st 2013. Between now and then we will be open Tuesday thru Saturday, we would love to say goodbye—please come see us!
Knowing that this spot needed to be filled I reached out to Rachel Young, owner of Miss Moffett’s Mystical Cupcakes who has been operating out of Paprika Café. Rachel was a contestant on the most recent season of Cupcake Wars on the Food Network and was a finalist! She will fill our shoes more than adequately. I encourage you to support Rachel in her dream of opening her store front. She is a talented, passionate, creative and wonderful person, you will love her!
Don’t worry, if you have purchased an Amazon voucher Rachel has agreed to honor those!
Thank you so very much for all your love and support. You have made this the most AMAZING adventure!
