Join us on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at noon for a fall and nature themed writing workshop with Misty Skaggs! We’ll have our regular meeting to start and then will get going on the workshop right after that. Bring your notebook, pen, and a friend!

Bio: Misty Skaggs, barefooted poet and big-mouthed activist, was born and raised in the hollers of Elliott County. Her writing reflects hillbilly roots. She has been an active part of Appalachian Literature and Study for two decades. She has two poetry books available for purchase! Biscuits and Blisters from Workhorse press and Planted by the Signs from Ohio University Press. Look for them at your local book stores!
