I'm considering a weekly menu with a porch pickup (probably Saturdays and Wednesdays). I'd include a rotation of breads, sourdough, cinnamon rolls and baked seasonal treats. Is that something y'all would be interested in?

Mad Batter's first experience as a community event vendor was a huge success! By the end of the day, we'd SOLD OUT of

Happy birthday Mom! Chocolate cake with dark chocolate pastry cream, red wine poached cherries and vanilla bean Swiss buttercream. A joy to make and delightful to eat!

Ethan requested a Minecraft crafting table strawberry shortcake cake, and this turned out to be surprisingly challenging! I’m not a fan of fondant covered cakes, although I can see now that fondant would have been significantly simpler to form a MC block patterns than buttercream. Also, 4 layers of shortcake with fresh strawberry filling was structurally temperamental. All in all, my birthday boy was pleased and this baking momma learned a great deal 😅
