Those of you that are local may have noticed that our signs are down and the shop has been emptied out. The building owner has decided to go in a different direction, so The Picnic Basket will no longer be located at 11 Ocean Park Rd. As this is a new development, we’re still digesting the news and considering our options. We hope that this is only, “so long for now,” as we look at alternative locations in Old Orchard Beach. Please check back for updates.
Many thanks to all of the wonderful people who came in during the 2021 season. We enjoyed getting to know you and being part of your summer, and we truly appreciate the support.

It’s Saturday morning. You made it! Bakery items today starting at 8:30 - blueberry muffins, sticky buns, cinnamon pecan coffee cake, assorted cookies, and pumpkin whoopie pies with cream cheese frosting.

We will have sticky buns available at the pop up Sunday morning. If you would like to preorder yours, please send us a message before 6pm tonight. $3.25 each with toasted pecans or $3.00 each as seen below.

A reminder that our regular hours have finished for the season. Our first baking pop up will be Sunday, from 9am - 11am.

As summer unofficially ends tomorrow, so will our regular menu and hours. Today will be the last day for sandwiches and deli items. The plan is to do some pop up baking events that will allow us to work on new recipes and focus on seasonal items. Dates and times will be posted here. Stay tuned!

For those of you that have been waiting for scone day, today is your day. We also have a few sticky buns, blueberry muffins, and cranberry coffee cake will be out shortly.

The shop has some new electrical breakers, and the oven is working. Hopefully this fix will do the trick. This morning we have blueberry muffins and cinnamon pecan coffee cake. We’re here until 2pm.

Unfortunately there will be no baking today. It appears our recent oven issues are connected to a larger electrical issue. We’re hoping for a quick resolution, and we’ll keep you posted.
Everything else is working, so come on in for coffee, smoothies, sandwiches, or deli items.

We’re nearly out of baked goods this morning. Multiple people have been in buying treats as a surprise for friends and neighbors. I hope this makes the recipients as happy as it makes me.
