Cooler temperatures have finally gotten to Kansas City, which means fall flavors are here! I stocked up on Sticky Bun Pecan from my friends over at EB’s PB this weekend so I’m ready to bake!

When life gives you lemons, you make… Lemon Olive Oil Cookies!

Well, life gave me a few unexpected lemons this past week when I was laid off from my day job. While I’m figuring out what comes next, I’ve decided to make the most of my new free time by getting back into the kitchen and doing something that brings me joy — baking cookies for all of you! ❤️

Between coaching, the kids getting busier, and moving, I haven’t had nearly enough time for this passion project. So I’m choosing to view this as a blessing in disguise. Who knows? Maybe a new fan favorite will find its way to the stage.

On the menu this week a Dorothy Lee’s classic: Lemon Olive Oil Sugar Cookies. These cookies are soft, light, and have just the right amount of citrus. Typically I only do these cookies during the winter months, but the lemon puns were just too good to pass up. Here’s to turning 🍋 into 🍪!

WE’RE. SO. BACK.

It’s been a minute since I’ve had time to bake between coaching and moving to our new house, but means a new round of St. Paul Catholic School teachers that need a sweet treat to get the year started right! Snickerdoodles coming’ right up!

Goodness did I get behind! We had a great Christmas with the family here in town and did a little personal baking which was nice. Santa really enjoyed them!

I finally got around to complete The Great Advent Bake-off! The winner of Europe Week was a landslide. Congratulations to .c.campbell on your Swedish Thumbprint Cookies! Headed your way for a little NYE fun!
