The last month has been a whirlwind! I’ve finally gotten my business going enough in Tonganoxie and the area to be busy. I’ve missed some family events, baseball games, and in general put other things second, all for the goal of getting a good reputation and letting potential clients know I’m here.
This last weekend I worked until 10pm Friday, up at 4am Saturday until 11pm then Sunday up at 6am. At times my body and brain were exhausted and I thought why am I doing this? The extra income is very nice, but for me it’s more than that. Balloons have become a passion of mine. Continually learning, trying new methods, and growing is always on my mind. I get to meet awesome people, share my passion, be creative, and make money.
As a Mom I struggle with feeling guilty about missed time with my kids. I feel selfish for putting so much of myself into it. Finding a work-life balance can be hard sometimes. I just keep telling myself it’s okay to put myself first sometimes, especially when it’s to get established in a new area.
I am so in love with this little business of mine and this time in my life I did a thing to always remember it!
If you read to the bottom of this, thank you for listening to my thoughts and supporting me/my business. Thank you to my biggest supporters, Robert Baker, Erika Hernandez, and Victor Hernandez. Thank you to B's Balloon Creations for answering my questions and being an inspiration. Thank you to anyone who has ever hired me or spread my business information!
If you have any words of wisdom about any of it, let me know!
