Some people wake up ready to take on the day. I usually need a minute to figure out who approved all of this. 😂

The tree is officially complete! 🎄❤️

For years, we’ve skipped the traditional tree topper and used something much more meaningful — Brad’s military cover.

It’s carefully stored away every year, so I had to wait for Mr. D to retrieve it before I could put the finishing touch on our tree.

It’s one of my favorite Christmas traditions, and it wouldn’t feel like our tree without it. ❤️🇺🇸

I’m a Halloween girl through and through. 🎃🖤

So why was I dragging out Christmas decorations on October 13th?!

Well, between vacation, bakery orders, November’s cookie launch, and a to-do list that’s becoming increasingly disrespectful, I made an executive decision. 😂

Christmas was happening EARLY.

What I thought would be a quick decorating project has now turned into a four-day production. Because apparently, I don’t know how to do anything halfway.

And yes, The Grinch MUST be playing while we decorate. Family tradition. Nonnegotiable. 💚🎄

A little chaos, a lot of Christmas magic, and one slightly overwhelmed bakery owner.

So tell me… are you decorating already, or are you currently judging me from behind your pumpkins? 😂

Every order matters, but when someone comes back — and then tells somebody else about my cookies — that means more than they probably realize. 🤎🍪

I’m very organized right up until I have an idea I like better. 😂

Then the original plan becomes more of a reference document.

🍪 NOVEMBER’S COOKIE DROP IS ABOUT TO BE RIDICULOUS! 🍪

I’ve been doing a little experimenting in the bakery, and OH. MY. GOODNESS. 🤤

Meet TWO brand-new flavors coming November 1st to Mrs. D’s SMART Cookies!

🤎 BROWNIE CHUNK
I took my signature chocolate chip cookie recipe, kicked the chocolate chips to the curb, and loaded it with thick, fudgy brownie chunks instead. Then dipped the entire bottom in chocolate. Because apparently I have no self-control when it comes to chocolate. 😂

🍫 CHOCOLATE DEATH
A rich chocolate cookie loaded with milk and semisweet chocolate, then topped with even MORE semisweet chocolate chunks after baking.

And these two aren’t just getting my approval. My taste testers have been LOVING them!

I actually watched someone take a bite of Brownie Chunk today. Her eyes rolled back, followed by a very enthusiastic “MMMMM, THAT IS GOOD!”

I mean… that’s pretty much the reaction I’m going for. 😂

But here’s the fun part…

These two chocolate beauties are joining TWO returning favorites for November’s four-flavor lineup!

Am I telling you which ones yet? Absolutely not. Where’s the fun in that?! 😏

This is the risk of supporting a small business. You start with cookies… then suddenly you know the owner, the personality, the chaos, and half the backstory. 😂🤎

Well, you guys have been keeping Mrs. D busy! ❤️

I’m officially sold out of Biscoff, Pumpkin Snickerdoodle, and Salted Caramel Cheesecake for October!

Sugar Cookie is the last one standing, and she’s holding down the fort! 😂🍪

I won’t be available for cookie orders next week. So Friday or Saturday is your last chance to get your order in.
