Hiya! It has been a very looong time since I shared a Friday introduction post and it feels appropriate to hop back on IG with an original pic from when I first brought my cake biz to OKC from Texas TEN years ago in 2013! What a wild ride! I have loved every minute.
Since 2013 I have operated two storefronts, originally in Edmond and then in OKC. I endured the biggest trial of my life when attempting to keep our doors open during COVID. I have re-tooled my business to better fit my family’s needs and now work exclusively with brides (a few birthday/celebration exceptions here and there for long-time, loyal customers….looking at you 😜). Post-COVID, I continued to grow my cake business while also recently returning to a career in healthcare, and I have honestly found true balance expanding my nurse practice while creating edible art for many couples on the best day of their lives. I am excited to begin dabbling in injectables and aesthetics while I return to graduate school.
I am so thankful for my loyal cake clients and the many beautiful brides who continue to trust me with their big day! You all have meant so much to me!
I love this season of fall weddings and all of the coziness that accompanies winter weddings. Oklahoma City has evolved into a cosmopolitan hot spot while also maintaining its cowboy charm. I am so thankful to be here.
This season of life has brought many changes. I have a child serving his country in Africa, a child in New York and two cuties still at home. I am so grateful for each of you who continue to follow along on this crazy journey and I would be lying if I said everything is always rosy. Despite the ups and downs, God is with me. Without Him, I would not be able to juggle the tumultuous tossing about that comes with managing life in 2023.
Soli Deo Gloria.
