Okay, I've decided. Yesterday's mystery loaf was so good I'm gonna make some more. Filled with fresh plums and fragrant tarragon, this softly sweet sourdough brioche needs another opportunity to shine. Come see me Friday evening (9/4) at the corner of 30th & Paseo to take home your own very special treat. I'll be there from 5-9pm or until the bread is gone! No holds.

Fresh Plum & Tarragon Brioche!
What does a baker do with an unexpected bounty of fresh plums? Make a mystery bread, of course! Today's marries sweet-tart, brilliantly red and juicy fruit with mild, aromatic tarragon in my signature squishy sourdough brioche. The result is a beautiful loaf with a soft sweetness and tantalizing fragrance, lending itself easily to savory or sweet. Try folding it over a wedge of vanilla ice cream for a unique ice cream sandwich, frying it up into a sophisticated French toast, or toasting a gourmet grilled cheese.

It's that time again--time to gear up for (hopefully!) the last full week of temps over 100⁰!
My oven is blazing along with the sun, baking up lots of fresh bread which I'll run to Flora Bodega around 10am. Go grab your favorite loaf today!

If you need anything special, remember that this week is Paseo First Friday...so send me those orders before 3pm Monday to get in on Tuesday's bake. Otherwise you'll just have to come by the bread table on Friday.

So my car caught fire yesterday. Thanks be to God, I am safe. Kind strangers (angels in disguise) helped put out the flames while I waited for my husband who was rushing from the other side of town, and the fire department made sure it wasn't going to re-ignite.

But I reeeeeally need something to get that burning smell out of my nose, so please ask me to bake some bread!

Spicy Thai Sourdough!
Sweet-hot sriracha chili sauce and a fistful of fresh Thai basil make today's mystery loaf a one-two punch of tongue-tingling flavor. But don't worry, it's not too hot! Baking always mellows flavors, and this one is just right if you like a dash of spice. Perfect for avocado toast with or without an egg, or you can be adventurous and spread a bit of jam to accent the sweetness.

One extra loaf today! Who wants it?

Black Pepper Cheddar Sourdough is SOME people's favorite, and it's easy to see why. 😉Tingly pepper, rich cheese, bright golden color--all swirled in a soft & crusty sourdough loaf.
I'll drop these and more off at Flora Bodega around noon!
