Last minute delivery. It sure is nice when everything works out perfectly. This was a rush order and had to be done in 3 weeks. Didn’t even know that was possible to be honest. But when we get to make heirloom pieces that we know are going to be a part of many family gatherings to come, we do everything we can to make it happen. And that effort and the grace of God got this table ready for a big and beautiful families Thanksgiving dinner. We hope that joys of family experience are made that much more warm sitting around our little edition.

If you’ve been watching our stories lately you’ve seen this Black Walnut and Translucent Black Resin Coffee Table we’ve been working on. This project will always be near and dear to us for many reasons but primarily because of the creative freedom we were given to create what we wanted. Down to the details we were given free rein and we couldn’t be more happy with the outcome. Let us know what you think in the comments!

Fun custom color match resin pour today with a lil help from our friends.

We love to watch the cells forming in the pours. It’s kinda the coolest part of the process. It’s caused by convection in most being the particles of mica in the pigment powder in much the same way Mammatus Clouds are formed. Science is fun.

Smooth install today with love it when a plan comes together like this one did. We will post more when the room is finished! This thing really ties the room together. Also it helps that the house is absolutely beautiful. The arches and gold tubes throughout have a modern but somehow ageless feel. Bold and inviting at the same time. We wete grateful to add to it.

As classically trained oil painters and photographers know, the way the subject fits inside the rectangle (or circle) of the canvas or frame is the foundation of the art. We take the same approach when using our materials in making furniture. The ratio of resin and wood, the position of the slab inside the circumference of the table, the flow of the grain. Every aspect executed with purpose. Anyone can take a picture, use a paintbrush, etc. it’s the eye behind the design that determines if it’s art or just decoration.
