💛 This is one of those posts we never imagined writing...
From the very beginning, Spilt Milk has been about *you* — the neighbors who stopped in for a morning croissant, the families who made us part of their holiday celebrations, the kids who grew up on our cookies, and of course our wonderful team - all the folks who have passed through our kitchen over the past 10+ years, and have left their stamp on Spilt Milk.
We’ve been honored to be a part of your lives in these small but meaningful ways. Truly, it’s been the greatest gift 💗
After so many years of butter, sugar, flour, and love poured into this little bakery, it’s time for a new chapter.
Earlier this year, Meg and Molly made the decision that it was time to explore passing on the Spilt Milk torch. We set out to find someone who shared not only our passion for pies, cookies, and amazing pastries - but someone who understood the Spilt Milk community.
Someone who would care for this space and “our people” with the same love and care that we have since opening our doors to the Oak Park community in 2016.
While change is always bittersweet, we couldn’t feel more grateful for the opportunity to grow alongside this incredible community — and more excited for the future that’s ahead.
We are excited & honored to share that husband-and-wife Nikos and Sandra Liargovas have purchased Spilt Milk - and are ready to carry this bakery into its next chapter with the same heart and care you’ve always known.
In the coming days and weeks, Nikos and Sandra will be introducing themselves and sharing a little more about who they are and what’s next for Spilt Milk.
In the meantime - THANK YOU ... from the bottom of our hearts, for being with us on this journey.
