Here's a rare picture of the two of us all cleaned up at the rehearsal dinner, which was held at a beautiful winery. And wouldn't you know it — they served sourdough bread! Apparently, even when we're taking a break from baking, sourdough follows us everywhere!

🍂 A quick Leaven Heaven update!

Thank you to everyone who came out yesterday — beautiful weather AND a wonderful sales day! ❤️ And yes… apparently you all were VERY ready for pumpkin spice. 🎃

💍 We will NOT be at the market this Sunday because our niece is getting married! If you need your Leaven Heaven fix before we go, Tuesday is the last day to order for pickup by Thursday.

We’ll be back home and back to baking next Tuesday!

We also added a few goodies to our From the Freezer section at a nice discount — but there isn’t much, so grab them while they’re there!

And please still go support our fellow market vendors this Sunday. They rely on their regular customers just like we do. ❤️

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… I cannot stress how much I love fall weather on naturally leavened bread. I bake hundreds of loaves of sourdough a week using the same process every time, and they’re never as pretty as when October hits. Come get yours at the O’fallon farmers market at the corner of K and Veterans Memorial tomorrow from 9 AM to 1 PM. You know it’s funny…people ask all the time at the market how we don’t eat ourselves out of product, but typically you look at it so much that you don’t want it until you come across a day like today. Man oh Mary the scones just look fabulous today. I mean they’re always fabulous but today I want them. The breads and cookies and all look good too, but aren’t tempting me like these little treats are. Come get yours at the O’fallon farmers market tomorrow morning from 9 AM to 1 PM at the corner of Highway K and Veterans Memorial.
