Friends - I have a big ‘ol box of random cake and cookie supplies: cutters, decorating tools, cake boards, cupcake pacaging….its a massive mishmash of things. I don’t want to toss it bc there’s definitely value collectively, I’m not interesting in selling, and I don’t think I can donate it successfully as it’s so random an assortment. Would anyone want to take it off my hands?

After a LOT of deliberation and weighing the pros and cons, I’ve decided to close the Cakery. It’s been a wild 7.5 years and I’m thankful for each and every one of you. On to new and exciting adventures (and camps?).

I realized tonight, it’s been 45 days since I last posted! Summer Camp life is not for the faint of heart. I’ve been so gloriously busy (sometimes not so gloriously…sometimes it’s yucky) these past 7 weeks that I sometimes don’t have a minute. But it’s nice not being on a device all the time and submersing myself in scouts.

For those of you wondering, I’m not sure when, or if, or how, I’ll come back to baking. Right now Girl Scouts consumes most of my time (in all the right ways) and we’ve got 2.5 weeks to go. Until then, know I’m thinking about it and weighing my options.

June Week 3! A full week at camp with 3 overnights mixed with 7 dozen cookies makes for a long week! I love you all so much though so it’s still a labor of love!!

June Week 2 Recap - it was a LONG WEEK. And I didn’t photograph everything nor did start working full time again yet. I’m already planning my post-summer vacation.

The time has come for me to announce my next adventure: Manager of Summer Camps (or Admiral of the Summer Camp Navy as I’ve dubbed it) for GSofCT.

It’s a full time, year round position but, as the name suggests, it’s 90% summer. So, my June calendar is completely booked and I’ll be closed for all of July and August.

I’ll be back for Back-to-School cookies and the big holidays but, the rest is unknown. I’m HOPING to open for customs for October.

You’ll still see me here but be sure to check in! I’ll see you soon!
