Okay folks... It's time for an overdue announcement. I am going to try and address all the questions I can here but I anticipate some followup posts and comments as well. So let's break it down
1. October is the last month that the full stitches & loaves bakery menu is open & available. As of the first of November the bakery will be closed and on hiatus. At this time, due to family health needs, we will be transitioning to a fully gluten free household and due to the need for no cross contact no further baking with gluten in the house will continue. Anything you would like to have once more before the close please place those orders ASAP. I will be accommodating special orders and past favorite specialty items on request.
2. This timing is very poor given the upcoming holidays! I don't want to leave you hanging and I know how much this amazing community enjoys my dinner rolls and other goodies. I will be offering at least 2 special bakery drops with Serenity Acres to offer rolls & other goodies for thanksgiving and Christmas, prepared in her cottage kitchen. I also plan to offer 1-2 additional pre order dates in a secondary kitchen for rolls & muffins for the holidays. Keep your eyes peeled here for these dates, these will be presale only.
3. Long term thinking - the goal is to be on bakery hiatus until late spring/early summer 2027. At this time I plan to reopen the bakery with a limited gluten free menu. I plan to give myself 6-8 months to really practice and get a feel for gluten free baking that tastes and feels good before offering any goods for sale. Keep your eyes here on the page to see updates, recipes as I figure them out, and potential testing opportunities for goodies in their recipe testing phases. We understand not everyone has a need or taste for gluten free goodies, we appreciate your support along the way even if long term, gluten free baked goods aren't your thing.
4. Stitches - there will be no change in the crochet aspect of my business. I remain open for custom orders and recommend those of you shopping for Christmas contact me ASAP! Christmas deadline orders will be closed by the middle of November at the absolute latest.

🎃🎃Two loaves available, first come first serve! This is pumpkin pie swirl sourdough. It was made with fresh pie pumpkins from Serenity Acres and seasoned with warm pie spices. It's then swirled with a cinnamon brown sugar filling. 🎃🎃

Hello hello! We are baking up a storm. Tried out some of my English muffins sourdough bread exchanging normal milk for goat milk! It was a fun experiment and I found it elevated the sour flavor just a touch!

Tomorrow I will be announcing a special first come, first serve sale on a Seasonal loaf! If this goes well I plan to offer at least one more special this way later in the month! 🍎🎃

To me, it's officially fall. Which means it's time for all things fall, pumpkins, leaves, and Halloween!
To ring in the fall spirit I had the opportunity to test a unique pattern with a stitch designed by Rebecca Hinman with amazing tester support provided by The Homemaker by Emily. This pattern is officially published and available for purchase by my fellow crochet friends! It works up quickly and is a great table item for fall!
