Halloween Cookie orders open on Monday, October 5th at 8 AM. We are taking a very limited number of Halloween cookie orders this year. Each box will be $35 and contain approximately 22-24 cookies in assorted shapes and sizes. Pickup this year will be in JOHNSTON ONLY on Friday, October 30th.

Good morning.

Karrie here with an announcement regarding weddings. Beginning in 2027 we will no longer be doing multi-tiered cakes. We will still be doing single cakes, double sheet cakes, cookies, cupcakes, etc for pickup; we just won't be offering tiered cakes and delivery.

This wasn't a decision we came to lightly. We've had the incredible honor to craft and create hundreds of tiered cakes over the years. What a joy to be a part of so many special days! Darcy is semi-retired from baking and I've been handling the wedding cakes and deliveries (along with the help from my dad and husband) for the past couple of years. I love decorating wedding cakes! That said there is a lot of pressure that goes with the delivery and set up. I don't want to get to the point where I don't enjoy doing something because of the stress that goes with it.

I'm looking forward to creating the last few tiered cakes this year. Last weekend's cake was 3 tiers and a very classic look. It was so much fun to decorate! I will miss this part of the job, but look forward to continuing making single cakes, cookies and cupcakes for weddings.

August with a busy month with the Iowa State Fair, moving our daughter back to school and starting a new Special Olympics team for Norwalk. I'm playing catch up on photos from July & August orders. Enjoy!

Adam's taking over the kitchen....today that is!
Some of you may know that my son, Adam, graduated this past spring. He loves being in the kitchen and while we figure out what's next for him, we're working on more kitchen, independence and math skills.
Tomorrow (August 12th) he will have some quick breads available for pick up in Norwalk between 3-5 PM. He will be selling mini loaves for $5.50 each. It is requested (if possible) that you bring cash so that he can work on making change. A post will be made tomorrow morning at 9 AM with what he has available and how you can place your order.
While he'd love to make this a weekly thing, we're being realistic and starting with monthly (more if we have time).

Good morning!
Here is our updated availability through November. At this time, we are still working out details for Halloween, Thanksgiving & Christmas. We are not taking any orders yet for these holidays. Look for additional details to be released in late September or early October.

These dates are subject to change based on availability. If a date is not listed, we do not have availability at this time.

*NOTE: NOVEMBER 7, 2026 will be the last day we are available in 2026 for special orders (UNLESS you already are on our schedule), after that, we will be moving on to Thanksgiving & Christmas order preparations.

More details about ordering for the Thanksgiving & Christmas holidays will be released sometime in September or October. We are still working out details on what we will be offering this year and when pickup dates will be.
