Yesterday’s baking was inspired by the local farmers market. We picked up some beautiful heirloom tomatoes for BLTs and I knew I had to make some bread to go with them.

I used Julia Child’s white sandwich bread recipe for this loaf and cannot recommend it enough!🍞

Sunshine lemon cookie 🌞🍋

This light and lemony sweet treat has quickly become a staple in our household (and it even made an appearance at the ). We’ll have these at the Tuesday Market on July 9th!

The first week of markets for the Summer 2024 season has come to a close! Thank you to everyone that stopped by our booth to chat and grab a little something— we appreciate you and your conversations!

Pictured here are two of our favorite items. Cardamom coffee cake and lemon olive oil cake. They both pair dangerously well with a good cup of coffee (no matter the time of day).

Reintroducing the Mother Superior Sourdough.

This is a “plain” loaf of sourdough made with starters that were gifted to us nearly 5 years ago. The generous folk that gifted them estimated they were at least 10 years old at the time. This boule contains only four ingredients— water, salt, whole wheat flour, and all purpose flour.

Named after Lake Superior and a small reminder that there is beauty in simplicity.

I’ve found a new personal favorite (yes, one that beat my previous favorite blueberry + lemon scones).

It’s dense yet light at the same time, dusted with copious amounts of powdered sugar, leaving you wanting more. This is the only picture I took before we began demolishing this delicious lemon olive oil cake, but it may be on a future menu.

Inspired by tales of a recent experience my fiancé had at 🍋

My first attempt at challah buns turned out beautifully! Challah is a traditional Jewish bread with a soft, pillowy texture.

Munising Christmas Pre-order Menu 🎄

Since we will be at Gallery Coffee Company this Friday the 22nd for the Sip & Shop event from 6-9 pm, we will be doing limited pre-ordering this Christmas.

Limited pre-orders will be for cupcakes by the dozen only; pick-up at Sip & Shop booth 12/22 between 6-9 pm or Saturday 12/23 morning from 10-11:30 am. Due to holiday shipping times I was unable to receive more boxes in time for Christmas, but still wanted to offer pre-ordering.

If you come visit our booth at Sip & Shop we will have an array of goodies that are gift-ready! 🎁
