I hope everyone fared okay after Hurricane Ian ripped through! We just got power back a few days ago, but unfortunately lost most of the fridge food and all of the freezer food which includes many ingredients I use for all of my specialty baking. As a result, I’m going to be closed for business for a bit until I can restock and get the tree off of my roof 😅. Please take care of yourselves, and hopefully soon we can all resume a level of normalcy again ❤️

This was one of my favorite creations and a fun challenge! It’s a cannoli cake made with vanilla sponge cake and layered with strawberry filling and creamy cannoli. Then it was topped with buttercream and a white chocolate ganache drip that was painted with edible gold once it set. The result was so elegant and stunning…I seriously fell in love with this one from the cannoli concept to the gold drip!

This large cake was made to honor the 2022 Charlotte County Master Gardener graduates! It was a vanilla cake with a thin layer of raspberry jelly underneath a layer of strawberry Swiss meringue buttercream and finished off with vanilla bean buttercream icing and flowers. I had a lot of fun with this floral creation if you can’t tell 😂

It was a dino-themed birthday for this very special boy who is pretty much family to me. He wished for chocolate cupcakes with a mint frosting and that is what he got! Happy 9th birthday to Vincent!!! 🦕

I have heard you shouldn’t make your own birthday cake. But if you love to bake, why not? I wanted to make the “ultimate cupcake”. It is my favorite vanilla cupcake recipe with a surprise chocolate Swiss meringue center and topped with fluffy vanilla bean buttercream. Then I found these adorable sprinkles at Publix and then finalized them with dash of sparkly sugar. I can’t wait to taste the flavor combo tomorrow and see if they are, in fact, the ultimate cupcake. If not, there’s always next year! 😉

The kitchen was busy last night! Featured here are dairy/soy/coconut/safflower free cakes beginning with a lemon frosting cake w/ raspberry filling dino, a batch of banana cupcakes with banana frosting, and a funfetti rainbow cake with a royal icing butterfly. These will go to a special customer who’s daughter almost shares the same birthday as me…Happy birthday Lucy! 🥳

This is a dairy/soy/coconut free birthday cake for one of my wonderful customers! The cake is chocolate with raspberry filling and a very vanilla frosting. The cupcakes are banana with banana flavored frosting. Happiest of birthdays to you!!
