The Allie's Donuts franchise has been up and running since June 1st, 1968; the day that Frederick 'Allie’ Briggs decided to open up shop on a busy stretch of Rt.2 highway. Since that day, 'Allie's' has continued to produce quality doughnuts, cinnamon buns, and other pastry desserts that many Rhode Islanders have grown to love. From one simple family-owned bakery in North Kingstown, the 'Allie's' r

eputation of delicious doughnuts has crossed generations - and is now proudly owned & operated by Allie's own daughter Anne and her husband Bud Drescher. The 'Allie's Family' is determined to continue creating the best home-made doughnuts possible, and are proud to be a part of the long and storied tradition that Allie's Donuts upholds. Due to the impending snow storm, we've made the decision to close the shop on Saturday for the safety of our employees. We will reopen with plenty of hot coffee and fresh donuts on Sunday at 6am! Thank you for understanding.

We're still here today until 2pm so come on down and stock up for your snow day! And remember, we're cash only :)

Cheers to the weekend warriors! We're here at the shop doing what we do best, fulfilling orders for donuts and donut cakes for a day booked to production capacity!!

Valentine's Day is a month away so don't forget to order your donut cakes! This year we will be closed on actual Valentine's Day, Monday 2/14, so any and all orders need to be placed for and picked up on Sunday 2/13, but that's the same day as Super Bowl VLI! So make sure you place your order for both occasions soon!

Some staff members have shared a few of their favorite Valentine's Day puns for cake and writing ideas:
Whole strawberry - I love you berry much
Coffee mug - I love you a latte
Dinosaur - You're dino-mite
Bunny head - No-bunny compares to you
Bumble bee - Will you bee mine?
Lion head - I ain't lion when I say I love you
Whale - Whale you be my Valentine?
Cat head or full body - Meow and fur-ever
Mermaid- We mermaid for each other

We love the classic "I donut know what I'd do without you", "Donut go breaking my heart", and "You donut know how much I love you" on any cake shape, but we also have a few less pun filled ideas like a single heart, double heart, pair of lips, a champagne bottle with flute glasses, a single rose (no stem), a bouquet of roses, and even an anatomically correct shaped heart that we can write on.

If you have any more pun filled or classic ideas for Valentine's cakes, drop them in the comments!!

And as far as the Super Bowl goes, we suggest a classic football shaped cake, or maybe even a football helmet or football jersey with your favorite teams colors on it. Considering this is kind of a double holiday, we do suggest getting your orders in ASAP so you don't miss out, we can only make so many cakes a day so when we're booked to production capacity, we're booked. Call us during our phone hours, 7am-1:30pm, Tuesdays through Sundays to place your orders!

Happy Thursday! We're still looking for someone to join our team as a Big Donut Decorator/Designer! It's a fun and creative job for an early morning person, with shifts available from Wednesday through Sunday, from 4:30am-1pm. Absolutely no experience is necessary, but it's always a plus. We are more than willing and able to train the right person for the job, regardless of previous experience. The position starts at $15 an hour with room for growth. Stop into the shop and pick up an application!

And while you're there, sprinkle some fun on your day by purchasing a 32oz cup of our Misfit Mix of jimmies! It contains every color we have, plus some chocolate as well. They're the perfect addition to any cupcake, cookie, and obviously donut ☺️ Be creative, and when you use them, don't forget to tell us about it! Tag us and use to share what you created! 🍩

We’re starting off 2022 with the release of our new gift certificates, Allie’s Donut Buck$! They’re sold as $1 individual certificates so you can purchase as many as you’d like!! 💵

Maybe just $5 to cover a friend’s donut and iced coffee, or maybe a full $35 so they can buy a whole XL novelty shape big donut! The possibilities are endless! 🍩🥤

We’re so excited to be back to work after taking our little holiday break, we hope to see you in the shop soon! ☺️

We're still accepting children's book donations for our Book Drive through Christmas eve, next friday!

We've gotten so many books donated already and we are so excited to see how many more are added to the pile in the next 6 days!

We are all so fortunate to be a part of a community that is so gratuitous and caring, and we want to spread that kindness to some of the children who need it most. We want to personally thank everyone who brings in a book so please let a staff member know if you drop one off before you leave the building.
