🇻🇳✨ Patê Sô — a Vietnamese twist on the French pâte chaud — buttery puff pastry filled with savory, peppery ground pork. Born from French colonial influence, but made uniquely ours through Vietnamese spice, love, and hustle.

It’s officially lychee szn in Vietnam 🇻🇳✨ and we’re celebrating the juiciest fruit of the summer with the viral Vietnamese Lychee Panna Cotta — silky, floral, and refreshingly light.

Whether you say “lie-chee” or “lee-chee”… you're still saying delicious. 😋
But here's the tea:

🔍 "Lie-chee" is the British English pronunciation — which makes sense since the fruit made its way to the West via British trade routes during colonial times.
🇺🇸 "Lee-chee" is more common in American English, but neither is wrong!

💡Originating from southern China and grown in northern Vietnam (hello, Bắc Giang & Hải Dương!), lychees are a symbol of summer and sweet nostalgia. 🌸

📖 A little background:
Pâté sô traces its roots to French colonial Vietnam, where it was inspired by the classic French meat pie, pâté chaud. Over time, Vietnamese bakers adapted it using local ingredients and flavors, creating a lighter, more delicate version that became a staple in Vietnamese bakeries and homes.

Traditionally filled with ground pork (or sometimes chicken), it’s enjoyed warm, often with a cup of coffee or tea.
