Hi friends. I wanted to come on here and give everyone a little update and officially announce that I am currently not accepting any new cake orders.

My biggest fear in life is disappointing people which is why this post is so hard for me to make. Over the course of the last year baking and selling cakes has gone from a fun hobby to an overwhelming anxiety in my life. I no longer bake because I want to but because I feel I have to. Trying to juggle two jobs, a home, and a baking business is no easy feat and I’ve been finding myself scheduling out every second of my day. This has caused resentment towards baking and time I spend decorating. I started this as a fun hobby and I now need to take time to find the fun in baking again. I’m not saying this is forever and while I may never come back as a full fledge bake shop I do hope that I can come back and share my love for baking, encouraging others to bake and decorate too.

I do want to say a HUGE thank to everyone who believed in me and supported me on this journey! It means so much from all the orders, shares, comments, and recommendations. As, for those of you who have orders on the calendar for this year I will still be fulfilling them so please do not worry! If you have any concerns please feel free to reach out.

Remember my story from earlier this week where I asked if I was dyeing Easter eggs or painting a cake? Well…I was painting a cake and it was this cake to be exact!

For this cake I was told that the birthday girl loves Tangled and in particular the lantern scene. I wanted to get the look of a sunset on the cake however, since I don’t have an airbrush I had to get creative. To say I’m happy with how these colors came out would be an understatement!

Cake details: 8” vanilla cake filled with vanilla buttercream. Cake is covered in blue, purple, pink, orange, and yellow buttercream and then painted with those colors to achieve the perfect sunset look. Lanterns were made in house by me using fondant and then painted. Silhouette was also made in house by me using black fondant.

Cake number two of the week coming at ya! I gotta say the themes for my cakes this week are all across the board. First florals, now minions. Given this pattern I don’t think you’ll be able to guess the next two😉

Anyway, this customer wanted a minion cake to celebrate her husbands birthday and that’s just what they got! This cake was a blast to create and I’m already looking forward to the next minion cake that’s ordered, any takers?!

Cake details: 10” chocolate cake filled with peanut butter filling, coated in yellow vanilla buttercream. Cake is adorned with fondant goggles, strap, mouth and hair spouts all made in house by me!

The first of four cakes this weekend was for a very special lady…my mom! We celebrated her birthday yesterday with dinner and of course cake! She requested a red velvet cake with cream cheese buttercream and that’s just what she got.

Cake details: 6” red velvet cake coated and filled with cream cheese buttercream. Cake is topped with buttercream pansies made in house by me!

*PLEAS READ*

Hi friends! Normally I don’t double post but I wanted to share some updates with everyone.

As always, I want to thank everyone for their support of my small business! I never would have thought so many of you would trust me to make a cake and be apart of your celebrations, so THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart!❤️

First off, I am completely booked for the month of February. Yup…you read that right it’s January and I’m already booked for next month. I do work a full time job and bake on the side so I’m only able to take a limited number of orders a month. As always, I encourage everyone to order in advance to guarantee a spot!

Second, I will not be taking any cake orders for the month of March. I plan on taking the month of March to revamp my menu and start on some content to bring you all into my world of cake decorating! If you are still reading I’d love to hear what you’d like to see in the comments below! 👇 Cake orders will resume again in April!

Per usual, if you have questions or would like to place an order please DM me and we can chat!

There is no better feeling than finishing your last cake before an away weekend on the slopes⛷

But, before I call it quits for the week let’s talk about this cake! I was told the birthday guy likes trains and then was given creative discretion. Much like the Fortnite cake, I don’t know much about trains. So with a lot of Pinterest research and a little bit of creativity I created this train themed beauty.

Cake details: 8” chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream. The cake background is painted using edible paint and the train and signs were all made of fondant in house by me!

If you are still reading this please *NOTE* I am completely booked for the month of February.

Drumroll please…the last of the three cakes from Sunday’s order!

The request for this cake was: colorful and I was given an extensive list of colors the birthday girl liked. I picked three colors off the list and went to town making this tie-dye inspired cake.

Cake details: 6”, 2-layer chocolate cake filled with chocolate ganache. Cake was coated in colored vanilla buttercream and finished with a ganache drip and decorative piping.

Another day, another cake…well sort of…

Yesterday, I had the challenge of delivering not only one cake (the Blues Clues you saw yesterday) but three personal size cakes! I would be lying if I said it wasn’t a lot, but I’m so happy with how all three turned out!

I figured rather than sharing all three cakes at once I would post one once a day. So, behold, the second cake and my personal favorite!

The theme requested for this cake was Fortnite and I was told I could do whatever I wanted with it. Typically, I love to have creative freedom, however I know absolutely nothing about Fortnite…except maybe that’s where the floss originated? So, with a lot of Pinterest scrolling I kept seeing this donkey piñata and decided to give that a shot.

Cake details: 6”, 2-layer chocolate cake filled with peanut butter and coated in vanilla buttercream. Cake is topped with a fondant piñata, chest, and chisel all made in house by hand!

Who would have thought that Blues Clues would be a timeless classic? That we, as children, watched it 20 some years ago and now the children of this generation are still enjoying it! It’s crazy to me and it gives me all the same feels I got when Steve came back and told us he was proud of us, lol. Anyway, enough nostalgia for today and onto our regularly scheduled programming…

I got to make this adorable Blues Clues themed smash cake for the cutest little man celebrating his 1st birthday today! I love making these smash cakes, but it’s even more special when I get to witness the smashing in person!

Cake details: 6” two-layer vanilla cake, filled with vanilla buttercream. All decorations are made of fondant and are entirely edible. They were all made in house by me with a lot of love, sweat and patience 🤪

Wow…first cake of the new year and it feels like a lifetime since I’ve baked! After a busy holiday season and then a bought with sickness I am very happy to be back in the kitchen.

This 10” beauty definitely has me dreaming of warmer days with its coral color and bright daisies! It’s the perfect cake to help celebrate a special lady’s birthday!

Cake details: 10” vanilla cake, filled with raspberry filling. Cake is coated in vanilla buttercream and adorned with buttercream daisies made in house by me.

Today was pickup day for my last two orders before Christmas. Both orders consisted of only cupcakes and in total 8 dozen cupcakes went out the door today! One customer had ordered a cupcake pull apart cake in the shape of a fox and I couldn’t help but share this adorable master piece!
